    I know there is some hate for the new Alice in Wonderland but I didn't think it was so bad
    I mean it doesn't deserve any awards and I'd never watch it again but it was an okay diversion for a couple hours

    Keep in mind I have, like, zero attachment or fondness for the source material

    Uh, just out of curiosity, I was reading about Paprika, and the storyline sounds just like Inception's. Are there any similarities?

    It was the late Satoshi Kon's last film before he died.

    Not really. The only similarity is that they both involve people with the ability enter into other peoples' deams. Parika is more about trippy imagery and psychology, whereas Inception is more of a standard heist thriller.

    I found a clip and I think it was pretty funny
    But I can see why Downey might be a bit touchy about it seeing as it was some serious hell that he went to a lot of effort to put behind him

    But even his response to Ricky seemed like a joke in itself, and not something he was really upset about

    Yeah I thought Gervais was a really funny host, compared to usual scared dick sucking. Although I did enjoy Baldwin and Martin's bizarre thing with Clooney last year. RDJ's thing was hilarious, I was annoyed Bieber was at the same table as Halle Berry. :[

    So I guess I should get over my hatred of assholes on Facebook and not being ridiculously rich and see The Social Network? THE MOVIE THAT DEFINES A GENERATION

    I don't find Glee compelling at all but I was glad that guy got it. He seemed really surprised and happy.

    I haven't seen The King's Speech but Inception wasn't anywhere near as good as The Social Network in terms of writing and acting. I don't see how you can even make the argument that it is.

    I thought Inception was pretty okay, even compared to Inception. I don't know if it'll beat out Inception at the oscars though.

    Basically if King's Speech, Inception, Social Network, Black Swan, and fuck I don't know, Marmaduke? all get nominated for Best Picture I am okay with any of those winning

    I wouldn't be upset at Inception doing really well.

    I feel like Chris Nolan was one of the best directors of the last decade and I can't think of a single movie he made that was even remotely poor

    I don't think I'm missing any - I admit that I'm something of a Nolan fanboy. Insomnia is the only one I don't own. That movie, by the way, has got to have the biggest gulf between reviewer scores and user scores on Rotten Tomatoes. I don't think any of those films are even close to poor.

    Also, finally got around to watching The Damned United. I loved it. Michael Sheen is really phenomenal in everything I've seen him in (although three movies is a relatively small sample size)
