    If they really want to vote for a big star power film that was gritty and good, go for The Fighter. That movie was really damn good, even though the whole time I kept waiting for Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch to try and jump Batman only to get their asses kicked.

    it was released on December 22nd

    Black Swan had a limited release on December 3rd and was released nationwide on December 17

    that's a hell of a cutoff

    If I'm reading this right, if a movie hasn't been screened for the hollywood foreign press by the 8th of December it isn't eligible

    Oh, I should have qualified that in terms of movies I've seen.

    I have not seen Black Swan or the Social Network, but I would put The King's Speech over Inception (which I absolutely loved)

    The King's Speech is definitely my top movie of the year

    Haven't seen Black Swan though, so I suppose I'll have to see that before I make a final decision
