Ok so registration is just about closed for this year's Omegathon, so I thought I'd start up a thread for freshly minted Omeganauts to make themselves known and also for wild speculation as to this year's batch of games.

So, what games do you think we'll be seeing? Also, what would you like to see?

    Good Luck to this years batch of competitors, but most importantly have lots and lots of fun. It's a once in a life time thing being an Omeganaught (unless you come in second place :-P).

    If the format remains team-based, I'm still betting on 2v2 ping-pong match' for the finals.

    If not, I fully support the idea of Chess Boxing.

    i know it's a extremely extremely extremely slim chance i get chosen, but the phone number i had when i bought my badge is old. i've gotten a new phone number since then.

    is there anyway i can change that? or am i SOL?

    Noob question here...how does one register? I looked at the official website's FAQ and it didn't mention the Omegathon at all.

    When you register for a 3-day badge, one of the questions that comes up right away is if you'd like to be registered for drawing for the Omegathon.

    Closest info I could find comes from the FAQ:

    I would love to see Just Dance 2 in the competition. Ever since I bought it, nothing brings me greater joy than watching/recording myself and friends flail around like idiots to pop music.

    I just got a call too. Heck, I had to register just to post this, so it can happen to anyone.

    On the one hand I feel kinda bad because I'm hogging a space that probably should be filled by PA regular; on the other hand, we're all just here to have fun and if there's one thing I'm good at, it's being cannon fodder and a stepping stone for the true gamers out there.

    The Omegathon isn't about "true" gamers or "pro" gamers. It's randomly selected so that anybody can be chosen, and anybody could win.

    Also don't worry about not being a regular, because you are now.
