2 questions about that:
1) If they do allow line skippage, can we get a friend in (my brother is coming) with us? If not that's fine, I totally understand. i don't want to abuse this awesome gift that has been bestowed upon me, but it'd also be a shame to not really be able to use it either because family comes first.
Is/Has that privilege been extended even if you go out in, say, round 1?
I don't know the answer to the second one, but BaconSandwich mentioned to some of us that the badge was supposed to include a +1 last year.

Rounds generally take an hour. For the music and final rounds they will probably want you in the green room an hour ahead of time. The flip side is your Omeganaut badge SHOULD get you to the front of any other line in the con when you are not competing.

1) Yes. Your Omeganaut Badge should give you front-of-the-line access +1 guest.
Yes, an Omeganaut Badge is an Omeganaut badge regardless of your final standing.
By the way I love the Question 1 and Question B format

For more info on question 1, don't be surprised if it doesn't work in the Expo Hall. I was told that generally the "Front of the Line" access for Omeganauts worked for PAX supported functions like console freeplay and panels, but not for company-run exhibits.
Or I was just never brave enough to try. But I figured if you weren't directly associated with PAX, you didn't care about line-skipping privileges.
But I was able to do everything I wanted to do during PAX and still compete in the Omegathon. It all depends on if it will have 4 rounds like last PAX East or 6 rounds like PAX Prime.

Greetings folks... well they chose me to be an Omeganaut too! I'm stoked! :rotate:
This is my first PAX ever and I'm so looking forward to it. Not sure how competitive I'll be but I'm in it for the fun. Gonna be a blast.

Welcome. Welcome to Omegathon. The only limit is yourself.
EDIT: Also lousy teammates and malfunctioning hardware. Those are also limits.

Greetings,
I am on once again to hunt down the last two people chosen for the Omegathon. I have been sending emails to them, so if you have sent your stuff in, just make sure you don't have an email from me saying I need you to get your stuff in ASAP. In fact I will send an email to everyone who I have everything from right now.
Get your stuff in!

Oh man JENGA! I saw the Jenga round of the Omegathon at PAX '08 and it was INSANE. You will never see anything more intense than competitive Jenga. Plus it is right before the concerts so thousands of people will be watching, adding to the intensity.
I bet that Operation will be similarly intense. Both are high-pressure games.

Unfortunately, I don't think I could really fit Thrice into that format...

Internet information sharing paranoia made me forget that I'm going to be doing this in public so I can't stay anonymous for long.
I completely understand, and the forum list has been updated! I'll check to make sure TdarTURbo did the same for the Official Twitter List
I suggest everyone download the southpark cartman version of poker face, to prepare. if you have to sing lady gaga, at least make it funny.

Generally, games get announced 1-2 weeks before PAX. The format and play type isn't always explained beforehand.
The final round is always a surprise though.
