    Yeah I'm in SA as well.

    Also my friend says that even if we get half a cm of snow, the entire city will shut down. Probably not too off the mark!

    We have a light dusting on the ground here, and people are acting like it's the end of the world. Snow aint that scary people!

    A few years ago we had a pretty bad freeze in January and the entire city did shut down for a few days.

    Everyone on my Facebook is talking about snow and ice and taking pictures of it. Just like they did last year. And the year before. And the year before that. Like every time they see ice and/or snow it's a brand new experience.

    I put that I won't be available until May but if we wanted to do something March 14-20th, I could then. That's my spring break. I'd just have to know ahead of time so I could get someone to pick up my shifts.

    Alright updated the spreadsheet with all my info.

    I pointed out the dates of the real PAX and also the dates of ACL on my availability chart because these are places where we could possibly bump into each other as well!

    Ohh yeah. I have a damn work obligation that keeps me from going to real PAX. This makes me angry. I should have gone last year when I had the chance.

    That, and I really want to be an enforcer. I'm not sure how much I'd enjoy a show if I wasn't working my tail off at it to help me forget about my fear of crowded places.

    I'm going to start the list of available weekends after May 16th so that Vopro can legally drink with us incase we get down with the aquavit:

    Jun 10-12
    Jun 24-26
    July 1-3 (though I submit that it might be quite packed in the entertainment areas with the holiday)
    July 8-10
    July 15-17
    July 22-24
    July 29-31

    Based on the information above, I propose the following:

    June 10-12 (11-12 if you can't take that Friday off)
    In Austin (with a stop in San Antonio to do the zoo)
    Alamo
    Laser tag perhaps

    Hotel-wise suggestions from any Austinites? We need 9 beds. Depending on the hotel, a two-bed suite might be a better deal money-wise. I also don't care if I have to sleep on the floor.

    Edit: 8 beds. Then again, if any of you are going to bring significant others, that number has to change.

    Yeah I'll either stay with one of my friends or a girl. I know enough people in Austin that I won't need a hotel room.

    Yeah, I know plenty of people in Austin with couches, so no hotel required for me. Any of those dates are fine, and I can pick people up along the way for a carpool in my tiny economy car (seats driver +3).

    Well I guess if we mostly try to stay in the same hotel that will probably be more fun and easier to organize transportation and stuff.

    Well if someone wants to do something during the week, I got nothing going on for my 4 days off. I have Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off.
