Finally we get answers to pressing questions from Stan Lee!

Vanity Fair: In the Kevin Smith movie Mallrats, Jason Lee asked you a question that has crossed every serious comic fan’s mind at least once in his life. You dismissed it at the time, calling it a “superhero secret.” Are you finally ready to answer Lee’s question?

    Stan Lee: Remind me.

Vanity Fair: "Is the Thing’s dork made out of orange rock like the rest of his body?”

    Stan Lee:
I never gave it a thought. I guess common sense would say it was made of orange rock too, but I always thought it was more interesting to think about Reed Richards. As you know, he had the ability to stretch, and sexually, that would seem to be a great asset in many areas.

    This interview is awesome
Vanity Fair: Are you quoting your own superhero catchphrases all the time? In a private, intimate moment with your wife, do you ever shout out, “By the hoary hosts of Hoggoth?!"

Stan Lee: Oh absolutely. I say that all the time. When I want my wife to make me a sandwich, I’ll say, “By the shades of the shadowy Serapeum, will you please make me a sandwich?!” Doesn’t everybody?

I really need to go to one of these comic conventions to meet him before he croaks.

He seems the type to do anything for money. I wonder how much it would cost for me to rent him for a few hours. Just hang out, drink some beers and have him tell me crazy stories, would be awesome.

It's clearly an attempt to update the medium a little, but every time, I wish they were putting resources into an up and coming author or artist instead.

    Or even just another character

    See I don't get tha

Marvel is really good with newcomer talent. They gave Nick Spencer two ongoings and he has been "in the biz" for like a year.

Plus they give dudes like Brian Clevenger and Christopher Hastings work, which is really cool and unheard of.

And new characters don't sell! Its sad but true, unless you mean you wish the motion comic was different character which is silly. We have had Iron Man, Black Panther, X-Men, Spider-Woman and now Thor. That's pretty diverse.

Now while DC isn't as good at it, they are hiring some new dudes. Lemire and Gates for example. They had Spencer but then Marvel offered him better work soooo
