that's my living room right now. you may be like, hey, sweet, jezz got new ikea furniture!
no. this stuff is stuck in a perpetual limbo until the jerk at the antique store gets back to us about picking up our old bedroom furniture. so whenever i want to use my computer i have to either walk across the leather couch or step carefully on the flat-packs and hope not to hear a hideous crack from below.
meanwhile, the bedroom is upturned from trying to take photos of the old wardrobes and dressers that at least give the illusion that they're empty. here's me kind of crouching in the one corner that doesn't have underwear or shoes piled into it, trying vainly to get an angle where the mirror doesn't reflect the immense heap of forgotten clothing and dusty accessories writhing on the bed
it's fucking well over thirty degrees celcius again and i just want some goddamned organization for once in my life. it's stressing me out.

i might do that when i get home. but i'm not sure it's going to make the room any easier to navigate - just means i'll have to jump over a tall narrow hurdle as opposed to step lightly over a low wide one
edit: the better idea would be to move the laptop into the kitchen so i don't need to cross the room every thirty seconds like an idiot
