Personally, If i hit someone elses shaft, i just block it up and hit a different direction, any l00t i find is fair game though.
You'll find though, that everyone tends to mine on the same level so the areas under any populated area is already mined to shit, Try heading out into the wilds, building a new mine and digging in directions away from civilization.

and if you accidentally touch their shaft, it's best to just cover it up and walk away

I was on the server the other day and I can't find anywhere to build :S I don't want to take three hours to get to a blank area. I will look some more tomorrow, though.
You were not around when crafting was first added. Threads upon threads filled to the brim with crafting recipes for anything from drivable multi-block boats to intergalactic spaceships. People were throwing out random arrangements of blocks for items whose features would be infeasible in GMod. Sometimes you would get an actual gameplay or feature suggestion and the rest of the thread was filled with recipes with no discussion on how the gameplay feature would work.
If you stack them with actual suggestions then sure whatever, you earned it kid. But them by themselves will always irk me.
So long as ops and TNT can remove them I'm cool with them. Remember, they need to leave their name on the evidence that they griefed. It'll be easy to have a rule saying don't be a dick with locked chests and remove people from the whitelist when they do this.

I don't inhabit the temple anymore (I'm living in my deku tree now) and my girlfriend isn't playing as much right now because of school. As long as you're not like, messing with the tunnels that are there it's totally not a problem. In fact, there's a huge tree farm in the basement of my temple you're welcome to use as long as you replant anything you chop down.
Every seed would be every string that can be entered into the text box. Although the maximum number of possible worlds is only 2^32, since many strings hash to a single number.
