I want to make a joke like "then how come they always scream when I take pictures through their windows", but I feel I'm not well known enough here yet.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
I think I want to take a course on photography between now and when I start school in September. It would be handy, and women dig photographers.
While taking some shots outside of a museum, a woman asked me if I was a photographer. I slyly said I was and then took a couple of shots for her. We did not cross paths inside the museum. Our love would have been the greatest love, but alas.
True story.

I'd love to take photography
I am going to have to be accepted to my school and put in a year of bringing up my gpa before I can take something I really want to learn about (to change my major), so hopefully by then I'll have something solid.

Trying to think of something constructive to do today.
Taking pictures of someone, and modelling for someone, can create a space of intimacy that could be exploited. People like being the entire focus of another's attention, people like feeling beautiful.

All in the span of two minutes. My life is like an episodic novel written by a melodramatic monkey on heroin.
A person I knew in college kept telling me I should become a model photographer. I said I didn't really know anyone and my camera was pretty terrible (a low megapixel P&S). He said it was fine, just as long as I shot interesting angles. I could find models on modelmayhem, have them meet at a beach, shoot early in the morning when the light was good, and I could build a resume pretty easy.
I didn't do it because it sounded a bit sketchy, but he was right. I probably could have done that.

I would feel hella uncomfortable as a photographer. Course, I don't go to strip clubs, either. I'd be all "Oh, no, you really don't need to do that. No, really. Um, here's five dollars. You wanna talk about dogs, or something?"
It seems like you have to be fairly comfortable giving directions on the fly. I'm not, so that's why I'll probably never do it. At least I'll never be A-camera. I've shot B-camera on a couple of shoots to some small amount of success.

frankie has a photography degree and is pretty talented
but she is so vain that she has basically no interest in taking pictures of anything besides herself. even her college projects were all shots of her.
the few times she's taken pictures of other things they are really good.

My number one graduate scheme has moved me out of reserve. Of course they did this by sending me a pack advising me I need to prepare a half hour presentation, and a battery of example tests, for an assement day in three days.

nah man. the community isn't all level 50s or whatever and while map familiarity helps, it is both not nearly the whole story and also very very hard to achieve (the maps are vast; I am L30 and still feel like I have barely scratched the surface).
It's a game where a low level dude can reliably defeat a higher level one if he is more patient, cunning or inventive. I really think it is pretty unique in that regard.
