I was up late last night watching SC2 and studying but had to go to bed and get up early for test, so I was like "oh cool I'll get to see more of them" and put my heads phones on. Tyler soothingly whispered to me of zealots and gas timings, and an hour later I woke up head on desk and he was still going

Quality is ok, but every 10 seconds or so you drop to like 2 fps. Which is really distracting.

I was referring to the fact that to get DT's you need a specific 250gas structure, which is behind an additional tech structure, while T will pretty reliably have Starports for the Medevacs at least.

Showmatch between OpticZero and Destiny right meow.

Destiny up 1-0 and G1 was fantastic.

Optic opens forge first FE on some supposed MLG map, triple Starget mass Phoenix lifting the goddam world, into 7gate +1 zealots with void ray / phoenix. It was huge pressure the whole game once the Phoenixes came out, lifting hydras and everything that could shoot up. Slowly hydras won out with some nice Fungal support and a couple roaches, was a great comeback to watch.

This is true for Terran and Protoss as well. If you snipe a toss's cyber core and robo facility, I hear Blizzard mails you a trollface mousepad

    Thank you thank you.

I think lowering my target bitrate helped with both issues; fingers crossed.

e: Welp, vertical bars back. Oh well.

hatch/lair/hive snipes are the worst :(

And while terran and protoss do have similar tech building issues, zerg do have it the worst as there is less buildings to sim-city with in a zerg base, so sniping one building is a lot eaiser to pull off when you don't have to navigate around the depots/pylons/production buildings.

Of course if you get a foothold in a t/p base and start hitting their addons/pylons it hurts a lot too! Apples and oranges really.

But yeah, fuck hive snipes give hives more HP :(

I feel like it's either stupid small, or ENORMOUS if you get cross-positions.

I feel like I have to six gate in those positions every time, lest I run the risk of mutalisks running around forever.

    Edit: Typhon is even worse.

I feel like double stargate play is going to become the norm on these giant maps.

This is one of two types of losses for me. In this example, I literally commit suicide. I'm the only one who lost this game for myself and it's horribly disappointing. I could really use the critique, as I seem to have no idea when the right time to attack really is.

    repimg-33-193219.jpg

My first attempt at a 3-gate obs. I'm pretty happy with the build, it fits my style. I still have to work on my unit production, macro, etc. But hopefully that will come by sticking to one opening.

So, I've been playing around with a new build for TvP...and it has been very successful thus far. Open 1/1/1, make one banshee followed by a raven then more banshees. During this add an armory and start making thors, while adding more barracks as minerals allow (total of 3 barracks). Cut SCVs at saturation. Push around the 10:00 mark with 30+ marines (no ups), 3 thors, 4 banshees and a raven. The raven should have enough energy for 2 PDD's by the time you reach the protoss' base.

As far as I can tell, the protoss dies if he FE's (1 gate/ 3 gate/ 1 gate robo), which is pretty much the goto plan in PvT. Even played a guy (twice in a row) who opened 1 gate robo, and got a ton of immortals. And he got rolled both times. I think the only thing protoss can do is 1 base colossus...but who opens 1 base colossus?

Lairs and Hives under attack spawn leashed queens.

Except they are super queens that have the AA dps of a phoenix and the ground DPS of a marine (but with a short range aoe).

Or, better still, Hives spawn banelings and SCOURGE when attacked.

I've seen Catz proxy hatch where the cybercore normally goes.

So they're forced to hold position next to his hatch to finish the wall off while he builds speedlings in their base and harasses.

And when the proxy hatch dies from zealot auto-attacks it busts open the wall for the speedlings from his main hatch, and usually he wins right there.
