I find it ironic that Nintendo's decision here kills legitimate competitive play. It'll just drive more people to shoddybattle/smogon/etc.

So I went to use C Gear for the first time, it saved the game and froze while saving. And me being a retard hadn't saved the game beyond getting my first pokemon (I just kept leaving my DS on in standby). 2 hours wasted (I've been playing Dragon Age 2 mostly, thankfully, so I didn't lose too much).
Stupid shit. Anyway, I'll be playing this on my train ride to Boston tomorrow, so that should be fun. The wifi battle news is really lame. Does Game Freak patch stuff into games? Because it'd be nice of them to patch old style battles back.

Quick note on rebattleable people: there aren't many, and short of the Elite Four you're only going to get to face each person once per day, but the sport domes have a large number of trainers (something like 5+ each after beating the game, I believe) who use decently high level Pokemon, and then anyone with Black has additional access to the trainers in Black City

gonna switch out hex and will o wisp for shadow ball I think
because shadow ball is a guaranteed 160 power over two turns
and as fun as it is to set up it, will o wisp doesn't always hit and over the time it takes I think shadow ball does more damage and leaves an open spot for a coverage move

i really like Black & White. it feels like Red & Blue did for me
and I'm using my Victinni and i don't give a fuck if legendaries are cheap; he's a beast
also I had the c-gear on one day and didn't turn it off and I guess the game still runs with it on when the DS is closed because it made my play time go up to 24 hours and I'm kind of upset because like 16 of those hours aren't actually played
