    I never got into Futurama that much

    I mean, I like watching it when it comes on
    But it didn't strike the same chord with me that The Simpsons did

    futurama was all about the character development for me.

    there were a lot of really good throwaway gags, but the episodes that cemented it were the ones that focused on fry and/or leela like jurassic bark, parasites lost, the sting, devil's hands, etc. I guess I'm saying I mainly liked the later seasons where it was a lot more serious. Of course, I don't think that would have worked without the previous 3 seasons of endearing character build up that groening is (read: used to be) good at.

    The sting is such a crazy good episode

    A huge part of the appeal of futurama for me is fry. He's just such a good character. Everyone can relate to him
