Hey, all! What celebrities might you have met (or seen) at Pax East? BTW, panels do not count as *SEEN* at Pax. My list is as follows:
Met: Graham Stark and Paul Saunders (of LoadingReadyRun), Greg Miller and Daemon Hatfield (of IGN), and (one of my personal heroes) Anthony Gallegos (RebelFM).
Saw: Kathleen De Vere (of LoadingReadyRun), Ken Levine (Irrational Games), and Tetsuya Mizuguchi (Creator of Child of Eden).
I didnt "meet" any per say but Blair Herter said Hi to me as he was walking to the stage to for the X-Play tapings. I was also sitting 4 seats away from Cliff Blazinski and I had a chat with a Rockstar Rep in the food court. Thats what I love about this event, everyone there was so chill. I told the Rockstar rep that LA Noir(SP?) looked great and then we started chatting about all their games in the past like Manhunt that people threw a fit over cause of the violence.
I wanted to meet the IGN guys but I forgot that I have NO idea what they look like.
I actually met, Mega Ran and Mc Frontalot.... and lastly I was walking into the airport with the cast of XPLAY. I freaked out and didn't say anything though. I just looked to my left, bugged out and kept going.
I got signatures from Gabe and Tycho, DJ Wheat and INcontrol, Ken Levine, and MC Frontalot. I got pictures w/ Jessica Chobot and Tycho. I met G4's Kevin Kelly at the Skulls of the Shogun booth and then again in the security line at Boston's airport. And I met Blair Herter as I pushed him out of the way to get Jessica's picture.
Speaking of Boston's airport I saw the whole X-Play crew having a pre-flight beer at the bar but I didn't want to be "that guy" so I left them alone. I'm still torn about that decision.
I too was sitting just a few feet away from Cliffy B and Tim Schafer when they crashed the X-Play show. Hilarious.
Meeting the guys who made Ms. Pac-Man was really fun. Also pretty amusing to see them hanging out in the classic arcade room with gamers unknowingly pushing their way past the General Computer guys to play the games they made.
Got to shoot the shit with everyone from The Protomen at various points during the weekend, and got all their signatures. They're funny as all hell, and they like to talk trash about one another.
EDIT: I saw Commander and (I think) Murphy hanging out at a table when I was on my way to a panel, and I fangirlishly made my way over to them, only to get a VERY concerned look from the guy they were sitting with - they were recording for a podcast! I apologized and headed off, but not before Commander saw me and said "Hey girl!"
So somewhere there's a podcast of Commander talking to me. I'm such a nerd but the idea makes me squee.
i had a nice half hour con vo with adam sessler out side as we enjoyed our cig break reall nice guy
and found out he screams like a girl when the room service guy came in the room
Like someone else said, I'm so afraid of being "that guy" that I generally just kinda go "Oh, there's <X>!" to myself and keep moving. I did get a hug from Justin McElroy at the Joystiq panel wearing my MBMBaM shirt though.
Cliffy B at the Gamers Gone Wild event, Curt Schilling, MC Frontalot, the guys from Uber Entertainment (theyre famous to ME) and Major Nelson did a quick video intro for me and my Youtube channel, which was epic.

Heh, I saw you guys while we were waiting for the trolley!
I had Jerry watching me play Fez in the expo hall as he and the creators talked about the game...yikes. At one point I looked back to tell my husband something as the game did some crazy stuff, and Jerry told me "don't worry, it's meta!"
Had a nice talk with the level designer for The Behemoth's Battleblock Theater as we waiting to try out the game on those super-awesome custom cabinets. So friendly! Also had the chance to tell Jonathan Coulton how my husband and I were required to choose a cake-cutting song for our wedding this past summer (yeah, really - didn't realize we needed musical accompaniment) and ending up choosing "Still Alive," much to the amusement of the five of our friends who actually got the joke. I made sure to thank Paul & Storm for bringing the virtu-Wil Wheaton standee, and for the "wrecking Paul"/"Wings cover band" joke, too (I'm a huge Paul McCartney fan and got a kick out of that).
I saw a bunch of other people walking around both the BCEC and the Westin, but didn't want to stop anyone. I smiled and/or said a quick hi; in general I feel uncomfortable starting a conversation while someone is walking or trying to get someplace - so I didn't. Everyone I did have a chance to chat with, though, was wonderful and ridiculously nice. PAX truly is home to the nicest group of folks on the planet.
Due to the fact, I hail mainly from a Guild Wars 2 community, the main celebrities I talked to were GW2 Devs. I think I logged 3-4 hours of talk time with them over the three days :P

Was taught to play Munchkin by Steve Jackson with Brian Herter while cameras were rolling. It'll be on G4 on Thursday.
Then I ran into Steve again on Sunday night at Fire and Ice.
Ran into Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb post-shoot, ended up going to a bar with them and a few other press buddies... also sparked a conversation with Major Nelson in the (Westin) elevator, who was in the room next to mine.

Ran into G&T a few times, and met Bill Amend.
Which, wow. I've been reading fox trot pretty much as long as I've been able to read. Getting to say "Thank You" to him felt amazing. Felt the same way with G&T
Which, wow. I've been reading fox trot pretty much as long as I've been able to read. Getting to say "Thank You" to him felt amazing. Felt the same way with G&T
Did you go to the Bill Amend panel? After the keynote that was probably my surprise hit of the show. He was great!
Seth Killian gave me a high five after I made some dude rage quit in the MvC3 tournament. I also met Tycho and got him go sign my badge. Also gave Kiko a shout out while we were waiting in line.
Got to talk to PA Jeff before the second Q & A. I congratulated him on his hilarious perviness during the Pitch a Game panel, and coincidentally I was sitting next to the girl he thoroughly embarrassed. Got him to sign my badge but neglected to tell him that I would challenge him any day to a ping pong match if PAX East decided to allow them
Also talked to Merchandise Brian before the After Hours with Scott and Kris (Kris and Scott) panel. For some reason I thought Khoo sent him to look after the line and told him so, to which he said he was just there to talk to people in line. After he left I immediately felt like an ass for making a ridiculous assumption so yeah, that didn't go as well as I wanted it to
My friends and I got to have a nice long chat with Dan Paladin. What a sweet awesome bastard he was. He gave us all slick sketches on our badges and talked so freely and openly...I think the people standing behind us were pissed but really: dan just loved talking. It was honestly my highlight of Pax, he seemed genuinely enthusiastic about our appreciation, and the sketched badge is my ultimate Pax treasure.
Honestly, it wasn't a triple-A super-duper 3D hi-fi booth, but Behemoth was my personal pick as best section of the expo. I literally bought shit at that store every single day, Battle Block Theater was one of my favorite games at the show and the arcades were so well designed. It inspired me to pick up an arcade stick for XBOX live platformers, something I never thought of before.
I got to meet and hang out with Graham Paul and Kathleen from LRR a few times. I got JoCo to sign my badge about the same time that the Ninja Delivery Service dropped off his stuff. I also got Shamus, MovieBob, and Susan from the Escapist to sign my badge, and I even gave Susan cookies from the cookie brigade.
My friends and I were watching them put together the expo hall on Thursday and we were asked to leave by Khoo. He was really nice and said sorry but can't have you guys watching that. I felt really bad that we might have angered the Khoo but it still counts as meeting him right??
The Protomen: Met them three times sort of - the Reanimator Killjoy (drums) was chilling at their booth Saturday by himself so I talked to him for a while, then later Turblover (Wiley) and Kilroy (the "spokesperson" more or less) were there so I talked to them and then the whole band at the meet and greet. Super nice, super funny crowd.
Jerry: He was wandering the floor and someone was showing him one of their games and a crowd was waiting there for him but as he walked away nobody said anything so I asked ofr a quick picture and thanked him for PA, PAX and Childs Play, very nice guy.
MC Frontalot: Met him twice, once when I got a pic with him and once when a friend did. Another good experience.
Jonathan Coulton: heard some weird stories about him coming off as pissy - not sure about that because he was very nice when I approached him at his booth. I'm not even a fan really, I went to get a CD/DVD signed for my friends who love him and he was more than happy to make it out to them.
Day[9] of Starcraft fame: Awesome guy, totally energetic just like in his dailies.
Mega64: Big fan of these guys - I approached Garrett because I had done a logo for him a year ago or so for his special effects "company" (which is just him really, but he does some awesome work) and he remembered me and was super appreciative of it and we talked for a bit and then he pulled me itno the booth so I could get a photo with all the guys. Awesome.
Scott Kurtz: Saw him the day after his late night show and the poor guy looked like hell. I didn't ask for a photo because he was way hungover and I didn't want to contribute to his suffering so I got hm to sign my badge.
Luke Crane - maybe not "celebrity" in the PAX sense, but he made the game for Mouseguard and my friends and I run that RPG and it was awesome to talk to him.
I met Tim Schafer and had him sign my PAX Badge. At the same time, I lamented not wearing my Psychonauts T-shirt or bringing my copy of Grim Fandango. How could I have known? Also, I expect a restraining order from Mr. Schafer soon (I was very excited).
I also had a smoke with the team members from Portal 2 at Bethesda Softworks's Brink party down at the harbor. I don't know their names, but the guy was complaining about the Weighted Companion Cube pins being sold without a license. Also, the girls were pretty cute.
I shared an elevator ride with a very drunk Adam Sessler at the same party. I didn't recognize him until my friends pointed out just who was in the elevator with us further down the street. It's probably a good thing, I always find him annoying on G4.
I ran into Mike after the first Q&A, had a stop and shout with him...
Let's see, I had a nice quick chat with JoCo before the final Omegathon round, when there was virtuall no line there. I know the secret of his fancypants mix now
Also had a brief chat with Scott & Kris - they're hilarious in person, and awesomely friendly.
I got to shake Khoo's hand on the first day, nearly first thing at the convention! *Squee*
Totally tried to ask Erica about the joke she told that was bleeped >.> Felt like an annoying fan for that but hey, no risk no reward right? The official answer is "Company secret" - hopefully we can all stop bugging her about it now xD

Did you go to the Bill Amend panel? After the keynote that was probably my surprise hit of the show. He was great!
I did! We got front row seats off to the right for him, and stayed for X-Play and Q&A 2
I waited in the SWTOR line forever. Before you got to play the demo, they brought you into a small presentation room to give you an idea of how to play the game. It was only like a 5 minutes presentation. Anyway, I was in the first to get up and start walking out of the room and when they opened the door, Mike was standing right there. He was like "Hey guys, I draw penny arcade!"
The Bioware guys then asked if anyone would give up their spot (and play with the next group) so Mike could play and originally NO ONE volunteered. Mike thought it was hilarious. Bioware offered all the swag they had and an invitation to their press party. A guy behind me volunteered before I could. I didn't get to play with him, but he was sitting behind me.
Got Jerry and Mike's autograph on sunday at the signing and got a picture with Khoo, which turned out pretty terrible, I look creepy.

I sat there too, right beside this guy who's girlfriend laughed at my voice because I sound like Hellen Keller. I was depressed all day because the seating was so tight and I couldn't sit anywhere else.
SO TIGHT.
Just kidding, DVG's my home skillet and his GF is awesome and I don't sound like Hellen Keller but I do an impression that has certainly earned me a place in hell.
I was reduced to a flubbering child when I got off an elevator Sunday after talking to an enforcer about what I liked about the show and the Mega 64 guys were on my floor. I think all I was able to say was "Oh, hey, guys........" which is kind of pathetic. But it was cool!

That game company had better turn out some primo shit, RI gave him like $60 million.
