I am trying to do anatomy, but it's difficult since I don't really know what I am doing. I wanted to make it as simple as possible by turning everything into boxes so I ended up with mr robot:
and since no one stands around like that I tried to make it look more actiony by making him do the robot:
I am getting the whole outlining part down so next is probably adding curved lines for actual people, some perspective, and making hands that don't look shitty

If you're a little lost as for what to do then you should try this book (pdf), from the tutorials thread. Loomis' stuff is a great introduction to figure drawing, and should help you to see how to simplify a figure in a way that makes it much easier to get a handle on. It's helped me a huge amount.
nic, nice lines. what size are those pens? i always end up doodlin with a pilot precise v5 (0.5 mm) cause thats what i take notes with but they're a little thick still.

It's these ones
Faber Castell 4 PITT artist pens.
I got them at Michaels so they shouldn't be hard to find, just make sure you get the black ones, they come in sepia as well.
EDIT: apparently you can't tag someone with either spaces or punctuation in their name, you have both, so I hope you find this.
I love those Faber Castell pens. The "F" size doesn't work very well at angles though (at least, not as well as the S" size does....I think they're different kinds of nibs at the end).
Between making Munkus look horrifying, I've been spending my evening inventing robot silhouettes.
It's my first silhouette exercise, but I did all of these from imagination, bringing together elements and things with my own visual library.
I'm pleased with it so far, but I'm going to keep going with it.
Those are my faves. I see people do this silhouette thing but have not tried it myself. For some reason this has motivated me. I shall try it when I awaken.

Yeah, the Faber Castell pens are great. I agree about the F. I never use it.

Really diggin' those FZDSchool youtube videos...
I just want to thank you for that little namedrop, because I googled it, and the videos are teaching me a hell of a lot right now.
Seconded, these videos are amazing!
I think the torso/leg proportions are a little off but that's not a big deal. I wanted to get it before I ruin it with finer details of head/hand/feet
Why are you so cool?
Our first game is now available for free on Google Play: Frontier: Isle of the Seven Gods
Munkus the first:
Munkus 2: Colour me Terrified!
And Munkus the third: A New Breed of Horror
I'm working on this right now:
it's just an accident

Looking at the same one, it makes me think of Megaman Legends, which I guess has a lasting impact on me from having played those games so much.
Glad you guys like them! It's quite fun to do.
props to everyone!
