But even with the first sniper I don't think it ever took more than two shots for anything. Outside of bosses of course. Feral and you shooting them out of stealth? Since it sounds like you are an infiltrator. That gives a nice bonus as well. Really though if you are head shotting stuff nothing should be standing. Putting points in your infiltrator line(bottom one) also is really a good bonus for this.
Oh upgrades are after getting the Salarion scientist. You can upgrade your health, weapon damage, skill damage and get special weapons for your folks and upgrades for the ship. Really that is the first mission you should do when you start recruiting. On top he is an awesome character.
on the other hand, if you bring the guy you get from the mission you're doing (the one for the krogan warlord) you get a neat bonus scene in one of the other early missions (the one for archangel) that most people miss on their first playthroughs

I'll probably keep slogging through it and do the salarian next, since it's not hard, it's just tedious.
Feral on
every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

it's probably a good idea to save archangel for last in general

that mission is dicey
I actually did it as my first mission when I played through the first time. I didn't find it that hard. And...(following spoiler)
Missed the renegade interrupt my first time through so I had to fight the helicopter thing at full health not the weakened state if you use the interrupt.

Upgrade it. Then find the anti-material one.
Yes, I know.
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
Yeah, I guess I gotta buy DLC for my automatic pistol to not-suck.
And upgrade my sniper rifle... somehow... that makes it all clear to me. :P
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
starting sniper should do what like, 2/3 damage with a head shot? I haven't played infiltrator in a while
and I don't think ammo powers ever weaken you, ineffective rounds just aren't helping
Let them know they're supposed to die after a bullet to the head.
That's not mine. And the thing on top of it is a standard 3.5" HDD for size comparison.
the DLC one is crazy good, but not necessary
god knows I made it three months and eight playthroughs or so without it
even the starting one is workable, though, like I said, you kind of have to tap the trigger to keep the recoil manageable
the first SMG and the one you get later in the story aren't really meant for long distance shooting, which is why their spreads are so wide
it just so happens that the SMG you get from the Kasumi DLC is more oriented towards long range fighting
personally, I prefer the "basic" SMG you get later to the DLC one on the character I mainly play
Maybe I'll just do what everybody else does and play vanguard instead, then I won't have to worry about it. :P
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
the one you picked is pretty difficult, especially if you're playing above veteran, and isn't really intended to be the first one you pick
Soon his curls will come back in

the ugly hair
That explains it. :P

Amazing.
Shut the fuck up. I don't need to take shit from no shit-eating Denver Suburbinite.

Shut up hippie.
And technically this is a poor grad school going Denver Suburbanite thank you. I only eat the most pretentious shit!
I loved it when he performed Empire State of Mind with Alicia Keys a year ago
seriously
i would probably pay you a dollar or more in real money to change it

This looks like it ought to be a piece of 50's diner kitchen equipment.

i'm doing what the game told me to do
argh

This made me laugh way harder than it probably deserved.
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
The game explicitly told you to suck?
It told me to go hire peoples.
Okay, so I'm trying to hire peoples.
But apparently I'm trying to hire the wrong peoples, I should go hire other peoples.
How I am supposed to know this, I dunno.
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
I just play on Casual. Problem solved!
I hired all of the peoples that I could.
But when I shot people they said 'Ow' and fell over and dropped ammo so I could make other people fall over.
