[ARMA 2] A new thread because we have a server!
Posts
I'm not at home right now but when I am I'll hit you up on Steam and we'll see if we can get this sorted out. It looks like you need to upload a server config file with a lot of things predefined. Then we can start uploading missions.

I look forward to playing with you guys! (great OP, by the way. Convinced me to buy it before I even read half of it)

Then I started up single player, and suddenly my guy can't turn left or right without using the "Delete" and "End" keys. If I move my mouse to the right, it only turns my head, but my guy walks comically into the wall. No amount of fudging with the control scheme has corrected this issue. Help?
To be honest with you, it probably won't be much/any cheaper than it is right now.
Though, if you wanted to give Vanilla a shot before jumping into an OA purchase, that might be worth waiting for.
Because I'm almost ready.

I set up my stick and I've been flying helicopters for a good chunk of today. I think I peaked out after about two hours and started to unlearn everything I'd picked up by that point.
They are fun, for sure, but it's gonna take steady hands, steadier nerves and a shit ton of practice.
I find I fly about 300% better when I'm practicing offline than when I'm actually flying in a mission. Combination of FPS and nerves, I think.
Oh! Another good skill to learn is how to land when your engine is shot, or how to fly without a tail rotor! Get a joystick, TrackIR and pedals and then you can be like Liu:

But yeah everyone who can play this, buy it, it's worth it.
Does this game have something like this?
OpFlash
Because it needs something like that...
It's made by the same people. It's pretty much a next generation version of Op flash.. With not nearly as good of a story.
It's much closer to Opflash than that shitty dragons rising cash in game that came out last year.

Apologies.

Still, it looks quite fun.
I don't think and apologies are necessary, it was kind of lame you could be on vent and hear what we were saying but oh well, once you get vent working it'll be great to have another person to play with.
It makes ARMA2 10x as awesome.

Me: Oh it was this way the entire time
Now that I am in the mission proper, I keep dying because I will get a certain point in the game and when I call for a ride, the helicopter pilot will do something stupid and crash. Can I/How to make interim saves!
A little. Most of the time, there are only one or two planes. At the same time, there will usually be a dozen helicopters. They have a better damage model in game, too. They can take damage to engine or rotors, stuff like that, while an airplane will just explode.
Edit: Well, I got that figured out. Steam forum had an answer at the top. Now my character seems to be stuck in perma sprint, and my mouse sensitivity is so high that I do 360s trying to edge a bit to the side. This game, it apparently loves me.

Found some odd bugs in the campaign, which caused me to have to redo the first mission a few times.
