dk: i would recommend that you find a place somewhere between natick and boston, hopefully near the mass pike (i think that is I-90)
natick is kind of a haul from boston and, as a young man who still enjoys life, you might want to come into the city some nights.
How late does the commuter rail run on weekends? Obviously "all night" would be perfect but I bet it shuts down at some dumb time like 11:42.
it runs infrequently and shuts down at a dumb time
i'm not sure when because seriously who takes the commuter rail?
I assumed commuters. The commuter last train departs south station at 11:00pm.
So basically what you and the MBTA are telling me is that I should live at least in Newton.
moar liek jewton amirite?
newton is pretty nice, but kind of expensive. and quite jewish. you could try, like, waltham.
i'd just look for a short-term rent when you first move in and see what you can figure out about where you would be willing to live and how expensive it is. i can give my impressions/ advice when you get here, but it's the kind of thing you want to figure out for yourself.
And it seems to be the night of Bernie Sanders on all the shows I watch. Though I swear I have his speeches memorized now. But they would make wonderful commercials.

I really don't want to move in to, like, a temporary trial apartment. That is a huge pain while working. I'd end up just staying there. I want to figure out a workable situation in one shot, preferably rent ~$1000, live there for a few years or so, then settle in somewhere more permanent if that's where I am.

I'm downloading City of Heroes: Going Rogue as we speak.
I anticipate that by the time it is done downloading, I will no longer want to play it.
I do the exact same thing with EvE online. I get this weird little craving, recall one or two high points, and by the time 75% roles around I've recalled all the crap that sent me running in the first place.
... Flying around space listening to that peaceful space music sure was nice though... no,no,NO,NO. Must remember the awful.
I find it really creepy when a girl has nothing but pictures of her kids in her Facebook photo albums. I mean, I can't jerk off to that, you know? Creepy.
angelheaded hipsters walking negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix
i probably am misremembering that
ginsberg was a pretty great poet to be fair
i think the beats were the last movement in american literature that were worth a shit
angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery of night
is the next line
also I'm going to disagree because there were some great post-modernists, Pynchon and Vonnegut in particular
there were! Vonnegut is delightful and Pynchon was sometimes pretty good!
but i don't think the post-modernists were really collectively worth a shit. they just had a handful of bright spots.
True, though by that standard the beat writers had the advantage of selection bias; none of the truly abysmal shit saw publication because it just quietly tanked when performed

well my experience was this:
we moved up from the DC suburbs really hating the idea of suburban living and raytheon put us up in temporary housing in Burlington (a nearish suburb of boston) for 2 months.
we barely made it down to boston in that time because i was working and because seriously it is a pain to drive into the city and the public transportation system for getting from suburb to city is pretty shit.
we moved to cambridge because we were determined to be urban folk, and we've been really happy living here. still, i feel like we got pretty lucky and that our decision on where to live was kind of rash.
unlike other places i've lived, most of the rental situations around boston involve renting out someone's converted upstairs or something. while it's kind of strange compared to what you are probably used to, it also allows for some negotiation outside of the boilerplate Archstone Properties "SIGN FOR 12 MONTHS OR WE SUE YOU" sort of thing.
so i'd recommend casting around for a little while before committing. spring and summer are lovely times in Boston to drive & walk & bus around looking at different locations.
but enough about literature I'm going to resume reading a comic book about a guy who karate-chops robots to death
That sounds like a stunning exposure on the interactions between man and technology in a world where the intellectual pursuits of invention, dialogue and creation are subdued and repressed in favor of violent behaviors.

More like a mashup of Kerouac and William S. Burroughs.

The Cummings is in the way the "i know let's go party" mid-thought interruption is reminiscent of the ending of pity this busy monster, manunkind.
Anyway I'm familiar with Burroughs

Trying to get through Naked Lunch still.....christ that book will blow your mind one page and absolutely disgust you the next.
if you had any sense you would not want to play it about three years before it came out
Cronenberg was really the perfect person to adapt it to film for just that reason

I dare you to re-post that in the burqa thread.
