If you like your depression in the bleak existential meaninglessness variety, the whole Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots album and much of Flaming Lip's other work tweaks that.
Eels - Electro-Shock Blues
Summary: Mark had his sister commit suicide in an insane asylum and his mom slowly die of cancer in the same year, so he got depressed and made an album.
Almost the entire 808 & Hearbreak cd by Kanye West is depressing.
I'm not linking and H.I.M. at the music because at least a third of it is depressing and I don't want to pick any out.
people have committed suicide while Creep by Radiohead played in the background, like that one kid who hanged himself. Pretty depressing.

And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn
These are the depressing songs that trend towards the top of my playlist. Lyrical content is similar to the OP song. Hope you enjoy...or well you get the picture.
The first time I played [vidURL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNzdhmU4RFI"]Damien Jurado's "Medication"[/vidURL] for my mother she cried so much that she couldn't finish it, and now refuses to listen to it. It's alright.

That's what I came up with by scrolling briefly through my iPod. I'm sure I left out some real humdingers, but that's ok.

That's the most depressing thing I can find on short notice.
As is Blind Guardian's "Fiddler on the Green"
Oh yeah, I forgot: "Something I Can Never Have"
Oh yeah! Derp, how could I forget that one.
I prefer the version on 'Still' to the original on Pretty Hate Machine. Actually, a lot of 'Still' is pretty depressing. Really nice piano stuff.

Seriously, though, anything by Elliott Smith can be fantastically depressing. Even lots of his upbeat stuff.
