    AMC has 2 amazing shows (Mad Men and Breaking Bad)

    one kinda ok show that got cancelled after one season (Rubicon)

    and 2 shows that started out promising but ended up really awful (The Walking Dead and The Killing)

    All this talk about amazing TV shows reminds me that the best show ever is still gone: Carnivale.

    I loved that show so much, I still miss it.

    Man I come home and my parents are watching Bad Lieutenant. I think it's near the end and holy shit do I need to watch this movie. It's been on for 5 minutes and Nic Cage is giving the performance of a lifetime.

    Watch it. The movie itself ain't all that great but he is soo good in it.

    I recently saw the Ip Man movies on Netflix and I just don't know what to think. They certainly have some fun kung fu stuff going on, but man are they gratingly jingoistic and populist. Hollywood is hardly innocent of this sort of thing, I know, but it's still really, really disheartening to see anyone devote a movie series to "let's beat up them foreigners, who are all evil."

    I watched Goemon the other day. It was a pretty fun film. Sorta like if Final Fantasy was a live action/cgi ninja film.

    If you value your sanity never watch The Wayward Cloud. Someone told me it had a shockingly great ending, and now after watching it I don't think I want to know this person anymore.
