Had a girl when I was in middle-school who lived the town over that would do that type of stuff during the middle of the week. Anytime I was hanging out with some friends after school I was actually banging all the ladies. I used to date a dude who was that possessive.

I was in Shanghai, he was in New York... he always expected me to be online right when I got home from work, demanded to know who I was with if I was out, yelled at me if I stayed out late, etc etc. He claims it wasn't "jealousy" he was just worried about me putting myself in a "bad" position.

A girl can be shy but controlling; these aren't mutually exclusive things.

In fact I'd say that they can sometimes go hand-in-hand if the shyness and the need to be controlling both come from deep-seated insecurity.

Plus if she was a virgin before him, he's like the first serious relationship she's ever been in and she thinks that this is what all serious relationships are meant to be like when you can't be together physically.
