SE++ Story Making Time

Alright ladies and gents, we're going to tell a story!

Rules:

1) One sentence of the story per post

2) You can't directly contradict a previously stated idea
ie: If Bob has red hair, you can't say, "suddenly, Bob's hair turned blue!"

3)Don't kill off, or end people or ideas without good reason, consider this an extension of rule 2.

4)Don't go wildly off the narrative path. Be collaborative, build.. tangents are fine, but try for a bit of cohesion.

5)Unless this goes to the moon or reaches a clear conclusion, don't use "The End".

6)In the case of inevitable simul-posting, edit the later one and keep it going

7) Rock the fuck out and have a good time!



I'll start:


The sun shone brightly through the window, despite the light rainfall.

It flickered over the crimson glimmer of blood, and caught on the shimmering backs of the bluebottles madly whirling over the carcass

The window was not pleased by this.

Dori Oakenleaf had only returned from the Long Halls, and had no patience for such machinations.
