So due to the requirements I've to take a Social Science class. People were telling me to take the 1000 level one since they've done it before but I decided that 1140 would be a better one since its titled "Self, Culture and Society" which I thought sounded pretty fun.
First day was today and it was going well I thought. A little hippy because he went on how "Opinions" should be taken very carefully because they are vicious and harmful, which I thought made some sort of sense. He also further stated that tutorials will fight this concept of opinions which judging from the Tutorial leader I had, will be interesting to listen to.
As he neared the end, he pulled out a map. The title of the map was how it looked normally, but the countries were all upside down. He then stated that he wanted us to realize that he's breaking norms, to come to the conclusion that norms are not make equal and then wanted us to learn something from it.
I'm stuck in a hippy class that went south the first day. Of course when I'll do the readings I'll see how south it goes down even further.
Hopefully, the people who recommended that class to you warned everyone else in it, so they know that that guy will be there.
For everyone else's benefit, try to keep your attendance poor.

Anyone ever notice that with those oh-so-edgy south-pole-is-at-the-top maps that most of the "top" half (and especially the top third) is just ocean?
If you look at the southern line which is the same distance from the equator as (for example) New York or Paris you find the southern tip of south america, tazmania and a bit of new zealand and a whole lot of blue.
So xmen first class was, I thought, pretty good. i'm kind of a sucker for the swinging sixties i guess.
Hey Will! I haven't seen a post from you in a while. How's life? How are thing? How's Frankie?
Things are good! I've been refusing to maek poast from work and Frankie and I have been going out a whole lot - probably too much - this summer, so I've been pretty sparse around here. Generally i just log in to check the infractions/ report logs and jake and jeff and elks have been covering well enough that i've not really had to do much.
i had an endoscopy the other day because i've had pretty bad acid reflux for a while and it looks like my esophagus is all kinds of fucked up though. they took some biopsies and hopefully it's nothing awful.
Gah, good luck with that, man.
Honestly, as you may have noticed, things have just been really chill around here for whatever reason since the changeover. I maybe ding one person a week, if that.
I got the full set of the west wing dvds for $80 on ebay and i am so excited to watch them all in a row all over again. So hoping to recapture the magic.
man I started running into overlords and ghoul reavers in fallout 3 already
I thought these things were only supposed to show up after like, level 20
I went to the GNR building for the quest and Sarah Lyons was all "keep out of it little man" and I was like "fuck youuuuuuu" and ran headlong into two masters and an overlord

This is bullshit.
I was going to prepare a witty reply but now I can't stop watching Popeye cartoons. THANKS A LOT, MIM!

yeah, I was like "i think that is the universal look of laying communal pipe" mixed with "someone is going to get a ton of snark in bed tonight."

You should invite the PA crew, and then be like 'hey honey, these are my internet friends'
I'm your best man, right
