Frie, showing a screenshot with terrible stretching UVs isn't helpin ya.
I..i can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not...none of those pictures are terrible (well, the character model one is kinda terrible), but none are great..so confused =0
Yup... this.
Although my glowy eyes are really starting to bug me and I hope I don't have to reload a save to get rid of them.
I dunno man, the lighting that I've seen (everywhere) has been awesome (running on Ultra). I don't see how any can fault this game for its graphics, I think it looks great. Of course there are things they could have done to make it look better, but I don't know of a game that can't be said about. They had to make a giant open world game look the best they could make it look while still being able to run on aging console hardware.
I'm sure you could point to console games that look better but I am willing to bet that their environments are much smaller in scale allowing them to pack in more wizz-bang bells and whistles in a single scene.

That's my desktop background now.
Like in the Companion's Trial for instance:
Steam: Jacobontap
LoL: FutureBlues
In what way is the character model terrible?

I'm not posting them to show that the game is a work of art, but anyone who thinks it looks objectively terrible has issues or just doesn't understand the definition of terrible.
Maybe if I post pictures of anime girls i drew then that would give me some credibility.
edit: and yeah, I don't know how the character model one is terrible, as that's just how dark elves look. technically, it looks good. stylistically, you can be upset at it as much as you like.
He was being sarcastic.
If he was then he's bad at it.
EDIT: Fuck vanillas draft saving shit thing also, fuck so annoying.

Fugitive: Hey, take this, and whatever you do dont double cross me.
Guy showing up 2 seconds later: Hey did you see someone?
Seems like a random world encounter thingajigger. Happened to me while taking a dog for a walk.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
The textures are fine. They're that res because the amount of game time the average player will spend looking at them that close up (as the screenshot) is tiny. I think games get judged too much on what they look like in screen shots and not what the look like in motion.
I think the game looks great and anyone who says otherwise is a doodoo head.

Non-plot spoiler.
Halp?
I had two groups show up and try to kill me at the same time, some hired goons because i'm a thief and some armored elf guys
invisibility potion + popcorn
Edit: Reminds me, best use for a dragon? Kiting it into an enemy stronghold and taking cover
Wielding a melee weapon, double tap attack but hold the second one, the PC will very quickly attack and then power attack as if you were charging it up during the first attack, it looks like a fast one-two combo except the second hit does massive damage
But I'm pretty sure they spent more on art than everything else combined and that it shows.
It looks great on my medium-spec computer.
It's called artistic direction and atmopshere. You have bad taste.
I'm playing on expert and was going through the same problems in level 5-10, in general quests from whiterun that would take me to bandit caves with multiple "thugs" and the occasional bandit highwayman or chief. from my very limited experience (still on first playthrough), I would say there's a bit of a hump to clear until you really feel confident in tackling most outlying areas after your first dragon kill. upgrading equipment via grindstone/workbench helps, using hirelings helps a lot in particular depending on your ability to take hits, but mostly I think you just have to take your punishment and level. I'm now level 20 and actually feeling a little bit unchallenged because of the power curve involved with keeping smithing current and just having solid gear and perks in general.
Don't be a goose. I didn't say anything about the artistic direction or atmosphere.
The problems I have are purely technical and execution.

Please show me a game engine that can morph meshes during run time without stretching UVs/Textures.

Also, your companion serves as a great secondary inventory for loot. The only problem is, they don't give her encumberance stat, so you have no idea when you're close to overloading her. It's just like, hey, take a guess! Thanks Bethesda.

A dude ran up to me while I was fucking around on the glacier by Winterhold and handed me some Squire's armor or something. It's light armor with an enchantment that boosts your light armor skill. Neato, but I'm using heavy armor. He also said something like he'll be back for it later, don't mess with it or snitch on him or else he'll fucking kill you. I kept it just on the off chance that he DOES show up later and is incredibly powerful or some shit.

Azura's quest is pretty neat.
You think the geography and textures and low quality? Texture packs/lod packs will probably be out within a month or two on skyrimnexus. Geography, I dunno, but I think the game already looks perfect aside from occasionally shitty lod.
o.O i'm at 20 after 16 hours, i don't know how you managed to stay so low =0
It takes no skill or thought. Just random button mashing. You can't even block (I think).
If it's meant to be a mini-game it ain't fun. Hmmph.
No fast travel, and not going in ever single dungeon I come across as to save some for my other play throughs.
I'm taking it slow, liking making sweet sweet love to a fine lady.
EDIT: I should also say, I'm melee only. I barely even use a bow.

It also takes forever because the punches are so weak. I've seen Rocky films with fewer punches thrown.
I got Illusion to 100 in under 20 minutes.
The trick? Altmer's Highborn ability plus spamming Muffle spells. When ability runs out, rest 24 hours, then repeat. Got me to level 23 on that alone. Made the game REALLY hard after that for a while, though.
