What is the public transportation in the area like? Things like taxis, bus routes, that sort of stuff. I ask because the hotel I will be staying at is about 4 miles away from the whatchamacallit center, and I don't drive, and I don't care to walk that far. Plus, there's also the question of how I would get to/from the airport to the hotel, as well.
I'm also looking into whether or not there are people in my area (southeast Michigan) going (or could and want to go) who can drive, but that's unlikely.
If all else fails, I could probably ask around here and see if anybody would be kind enough to give me a ride, but I'd really hate to impose like that.
To second what Zig21 said, there's really not a lot of taxi service around. Thing is, staying at a hotel, they should be able to call you a taxi to take you to the show, and honestly if they're a good hotel, you can call them from the show and have a taxi pick you up there to take you back.
Also, the bus system is great and the Meydenbauer is on a really main road, so using the link, you should be able to find a bus near you that goes by there.
See the route numbers in the top inset map? Those are all the routes that stop about a block from the center. Busses will probably be your best option.

Seattle Metro has a website that I use for most of my planning:

Also, service to SeaTac airport is pretty good.
