Why is that off-panel voice always telling Presidog what to do? I'm starting to think he has no real authority.

does john sinfest even get the irony in claiming to be fighting the patriarchy while infantilizing his feminist character into an anachronistically matrix-themed toddler on a trike

I'd assume cameron davies knows these are awful and this is his attempt to do an 'ironically' funny webcomic
but the problem is his regular strips are awful and unfunny as well
and I'm pretty sure he thinks they're hilarious
    so
... maybe presidog is entirely unironic and we are supposed to be rolling in the aisles at Kennel Force One (which doesn't even make any goddamn SENSE, Airforce One is a means of transport, not a house ... oh fuck me I've just thought about funnywebcomic for more than thirty seconds).

Isn't that kind of reaching or projecting ? It just looked like a normal girl on a motorcycle to me, and I imagine partially designed to blend well into the asian character.

Nah, she's a recurring character. Her Big-Wheel trike thing has had some motorcycle parts grafted onto it for the sake of that ideogram, but generally she's just a little kid on a kid bike.

So I guess I get what Skully is saying, though arguably Monique is supposed to be a feminist character as well (or at least a nominally "empowered" woman). I dunno, I think we're maybe putting more thought into it at this point than Ishida ever has.

no I'm not saying monique is the empowered character

I'm saying that the character who represents Feminism in the comic--in the same way that other characters have embodied knowledge (kid with the books) hedonism (the pig) and other philosophical concepts/religious systems--is represented by a little girl on a big wheel

If I had some kind of guaranteed opportunity to make a decent income by putting out mediocre to unfunny work I would jump on that shit so fast.

Edit: Intentionally mediocre, I mean. Have to allow for the idea that my current stuff is accidentally mediocre.
