Nintendo must have thought pretty highly of it, too.
On July 28, 2011, Nintendo announced that Metroid Fusion would be part of a pack of ten Game Boy Advance games that will be available to limited Nintendo 3DS owners, via the Virtual Console service. The game would only be downloadable for those who were part of the "3DS Ambassadors" program, which required purchasing a 3DS before a price-cut on August 11, 2011.[22] The game was released for the Nintendo 3DS on December 16, 2011.[23]
But I tended to get lost a lot. Maybe I'm just dumb?
Also there was that stealth part with the Zero Suit, which was just annoying.
While I never want to play through that stealth section again I feel like the frustration was worth the payoff of getting the gravity suit at the end of it and angrily obliterating space pirates as payback.
Minecraft on peaceful / creative modes are super boring.
But then again I've always liked survival games, finding a hidey-hole for the night because the risk of fighting my way to where I needa go isn't worth the potential gains.
I feel like I have to congratulate Team Ninja for making the first core series entry of a Nintendo franchise I actively dislike.
Not, "felt it wasn't up to par," like, for example, Super Mario Sunshine.
Other M is a bad game, full stop. Upon finishing it, I came to the odd realization I'd never felt that way about a main series release of Metroid, Mario, Zelda, or fucking Donkey Kong, for that matter. Until Other M.
two of my all-time favorite games are Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Dawn of Sorrow. I keep meaning to play Super Metroid. I'm told they borrow heavily
The latter 2D Castlevania games can be said to "borrow" from Super Metroid in the same way Playstation All-stars Battle Royale "borrows" from Smash. Metroid is exactly the same game, except in a sci-fi setting.

Well to be fair, count the non-Pokémon, non-SNES-port first-party GBA games.
Fusion, Zero Mission, Fire Emblem, Sacred Stones, Golden Sun, Lost Age, Mario & Luigi, Wario Land 4, Wario Ware, Twisted, Minish Cap, Advance Wars, Advance Wars 2
as much as I like Minecraft, I don't think it would make a good TNT

I like the idea that they would just go through everyone's worlds, explore a bit, maybe help them build.
And then Jeff would take over when nobody was watching and burn everything down.
Or maybe turn it into the gamertag judging game. If your gamertag is good, they don't set your world aflame.

Also I really like exploring the worlds in minecraft, and I find the variety of the randomly generated terrain to be by far the most interesting thing about it.
After my first game where I spawned on a sand Island in the middle of a lagoon attached to a massive series of seaside cliff faces and arches, which I then built in, on and around I was just enamoured with the promise of how sweet some places can get.
I should jump back into that. I am so bad with survival horror games though, so as soon as I hit a big dark cave complex I have to resist the urge to dive right back into solid earth. Even the tiniest volumes of empty space underground are terrifying to me.

Yeah, I know.
But still!
and the chase sequences with SA-X were absolute perfection.
I've played through Fusion, like, ten times by now, and those chases are still terrifying to me.
This guy.
Took me around two hours, but it felt so good to finally do it.
I'm still kinda proud of it.
gimme more fusion

Way to go, Team Ninja.

Seriously, this is not optional if you love SotN.
So I think Brad likes Minecraft.

Super, Corruption, Prime, Zero Mission, Fusion, Echoes, Return of Samus, Metroid 1, Hunters
I haven't played Other M and Pinball doesn't count.
I play on a great server that disabled damage from creeper explosions. It made life so much more enjoyable
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better
