case 39 started out as a really good psych thriller that turned into a shitty generic
demon kid
movie at the end so if cliches dont freak you out then keep going
i dont like almost all horror movies because half-way through all the scary parts are dropped in favor of turning into a dumb action movie that happens to take place in the dark
colic (a thai? movie) is way better about this because its more about the incredible stress of having a sick baby while in a struggling relationship, so even when it does get gorey it never turns action-y and everything stays very tense and unsettling throughout
once I was in an xbox live party with @Dichotomy and @Melding, and while we were playing mass effect one of them was telling everyone about just the most ridiculous horror movies they had seen or were about to watch
I think my favorite part from Cape Feare is HELLO MR. THOMPSON
but really that episode is full of great bits

Most horror is like water and oil for me, it is not designed with me in mind.
It does amuse me when horror/thriller movies attempt to make 'The Noun' terrifying, I haven't seen The Roommate but they definitely try to invoke this in the blurb on the back of the box.

Scaredest I've been in a long while was when I read House of Leaves a few weeks ago. Actually got my heart racing at a few points. One point, I nearly threw the book in shock. Excellent book, but absolutely horrifying. Even during the funny bits.

Dead Silence is a movie every one should see.

I definitely find some of the popular Thai and Japanese horror films are better *films*, but I actually don't find them as scary
Probably the scariest film I have seen is the Orphanage; oh man, so cheesy and predictable, but goddamn if I didn't jump at every required moment

When I say Hello Mr. Thompson and press down on your foot...you smile and nod.

TERROR LAKE CELEBRATES HANNIBAL CROSSING THE ALPS
What'd you say, chief?
oh, yeah, im never really scared by asian movies so much as disturbed by them
whereas american horror reaaaaally freaks me out for the first half and then disappoints me for the second so badly it cancels out the first
only exception is house on haunted hill which more or less stabbed me right in the face from minute one to the extra post-credits scene
because yeah I remember that one scaring me a lot
