i have been watching a horror movie called Case 39
I am unsure of what makes a good or bad horror movie but what I do know is that I am an unashamed pussy when it comes to scary things
but now I have to finish the movie because I need to know how it ends
but I am terribly frightened and
@Speed Racer and
@Dichotomy will not go into an Xbox Live party to make me feel better
please make me not scared or someone go on xbox live or something and just come have a nice little chat with me so I can maybe not be frightened
you may also talk about things that frighten you i guess

but it's from the Simpsons, when they were hiding out in a boathouse and Bart was scared of Sideshow Bob coming to kill him
Homer burst into Bart's room holding a knife screaming that.

Ooohohoh right, the Sideshow Bob thing. Good night boy.
i dont like almost all horror movies because half-way through all the scary parts are dropped in favor of turning into a dumb action movie that happens to take place in the dark
colic (a thai? movie) is way better about this because its more about the incredible stress of having a sick baby while in a struggling relationship, so even when it does get gorey it never turns action-y and everything stays very tense and unsettling throughout
I definitely find some of the popular Thai and Japanese horror films are better *films*, but I actually don't find them as scary
Probably the scariest film I have seen is the Orphanage; oh man, so cheesy and predictable, but goddamn if I didn't jump at every required moment
but really that episode is full of great bits
It does amuse me when horror/thriller movies attempt to make 'The Noun' terrifying, I haven't seen The Roommate but they definitely try to invoke this in the blurb on the back of the box.

What'd you say, chief?
oh, yeah, im never really scared by asian movies so much as disturbed by them
whereas american horror reaaaaally freaks me out for the first half and then disappoints me for the second so badly it cancels out the first
only exception is house on haunted hill which more or less stabbed me right in the face from minute one to the extra post-credits scene
because yeah I remember that one scaring me a lot
