This is an updated OP to show the final design of the badge and the questions you need to answer should you pick up the badge from the BYOC desk during PAX Prime 2012:

Below are the design I have come up with for PAX Prime 2012:

I agree with this, but I'm okay with it either way. Otherwise, it all looks good to me. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback. You're right in that we need commas, I'll sling them in. As for theme; I'm going for a Victorian newspaper i.e. mid 1800's.

Erg, Not to spoil the party, but I saw this and thought "Old west Saloon" which I guess is the same time period (roughly speaking) but not anywhere near the right part of the globe.
That being aid I really like it. (It dovetails nicely with what I imagine will be a bioshock infinite heavy PAX. Realizing that said game is about 60 years later however some of that old west sticks through that time period.)

I did consider a 'Wanted' poster, but thought better of it as forum members are not criminals. Well most of us aren't anyway. Also the theme behind it is supposed to be Victorian and/or Dickensian. I'm going to add some border treatment to it I think as well as amend the sign off section.

Be active in the PAX forums. (Last year IIRC, there was a call in this thread for people to post if they wanted in, but for the most part just going about your business will accomplish that for you. I got stuck on it last year without even trying. I keep that badge by my desk!)

As explained in the OP, all names stated in the design are placeholder only. They are not the final list of names that appear on the back of the badge. So up until you made the above post, your name wasn't going to be on the PAX Prime 2012 Forum Badge. Speaking of which, here is how you get your name on the back of the forum badge:

You must do at least one of the following:

1) Make the badge in the first place.
2) Be Robert Khoo
3) Be Moe Fwacky
4) Participate in an unofficial PAX community event. This includes, but not exclusive to:

PrePAX Dinner
Tri-Wizard bar crawl
Cookie Brigade
Cross Country Super Trip
West Coast Train Trip
Canadian Super Trip
PrePAX gaming night
Magical Mystery Tour

5) Participate in this thread

Note that in order to get a forum badge your name does not need to be on the back

While many people like having their names emblazoned on the back of the forum badge, it is not a prerequisite to owning one.

I am guessing we are not going to do any of the pre-pax stuff either (will miss dinner though *sniff*). We have a good number of friends in the Seattle area so I am betting we are going to be spending it with them.

I'm going to be doing EVERYTHING!!!! (well, apart from the super-trips, I'll be flying /waiting in airports and flying again for almost 18 hours, that's a super-trip enough for me). And with LewieP's Daddy, although he's yet to sign up to PA, he's coming with me. And I've had the confirmation email that I have my tickets (just bragging, here). Oh, I'm excited and its still only April!
