So, today I am moving out of my apartment and back home after almost 3 years of living on my own.
The story goes, I got really sick and missed about week and a half of work. That caused my already not so great anxiety problems to spiral out of control, which caused me to miss more work.
So I'm moving back home. Upside is that it's rent free, I don't have to pay for food, and I get to get a cat. Downside is that I have to live out in the god damn boonies when I'm very used to living 20min from any where in the city.
So, who else is moving! Where are you going? Why are you going? Is your new place awesome?
I moved out of home like a month and a half ago-took years to get paid enough to afford it and find a place I didn't hate.
I still need to replace my ancient twin mattress, which is only marginally better than sleeping on the floor, but other than that I'm all set up and I'm loving being so close to work/everything else (it's like a 20 minute bike ride for me now, essentially equivalent to the bus I had to take to get to the boat that would get me to where I could get the subway to work every morning).
Now I just need to resurrect the long-dead social life I had been ignoring because everything was so far away (at least that was my excuse) and I'll be set.

I am moving into a house in 18 days.
A house that my wife and I are buying.
I am super excited. It's also going to be the easiest move as we've got until the end of May to get out of our apartment, and we're moving from a 1 bedroom flat to a 4 bedroom bungalow.
There seems to be a lack of wall between the two beds.
Also, I will not be moving but my roommate is moving out and the dude who lives below me is moving in with me. I'm basically going to be moving furniture for like 4 days straight.

That is exciting! I can't wait until we can buy a home. We are hoping to move in a few weeks but it depends on what we find. Blerg. I am crossing my fingers we find something decent, close enough to Langly's office to murder his commute. It is the bane of my soul.
ubik your nake is not anthony you can't sing that song

Someone give me $900 so I don't have to move out immediately.

Wait, "I got sick for a week" cut to "I missed a lot of work"
I lost my job because I was being put into the hospital every month. I haven't gotten a job since then because...I've been in the hospital every month.
You were sick one week?

I also managed to pack all of my stuff and move it all out without seeing or talking to 4 roommates in less than 4 hours.
of course, i still haven't actually finished unpacking it.
Did you at least tell them you were moving out?
I did a stealth packing and moving job last year. Hopped up on anti-anxiety pills I packed a room into an SUV unbelievably fast, but forgot to tell my roommate until a few hours later. He was utterly confused upon walking into an empty room.

Wait, what? Who the fuck moves out without telling their roommates?
EDIT: My freshman year at college my roommate moved out after the first semester. He was a passive aggressive pussy. I talked to him about the issues he was having living with me, and he said we had hashed things out. Cut-to January and I come back to an empty dorm. Hey, I got a dorm to myself for free but I was still offended that the dude had basically lied to me.
When I lived at the church it didn't matter to me at all when people didn't come back the next year or not, since it didn't effect my rent. But Jeepers Creepers, it would piss me off if my name was on the lease and some jerk left without notice.
Also: I have had terrible luck with roommates anyway. After I had the guy that committed suicide with a gun on my doorstep (pretty sure he wanted it to be a murder-suicide : | yeah, he hated me) and my room broken into (after reviewing the facts, it had to be someone living in the house who did it), the straw that broke the camel's back was the stupid sorority bitch who would not quit fucking with the thermostat.
I yelled at her for turning the heating off one night when it hit 35 degrees Farenheit. Her counter as that her room would get hot. I don't give a shit abou the subjective nature of your room and the suspension of physics vis a vis your bed, if the thermostat says 35 degrees don't turn off the fucking heat.

Wait, what? Who the fuck moves out without telling their roommates?
You do it after they've spent the last year gradually treating you less and less as a person, which you put up with only because you're already having a depressive break down and there's no place else in town you can afford to move to in order to continue school.

It is an incredibly shitty thing to do.
But I owed them nothing.
I think that was directed at me, but yeah I was in pretty much the same boat

My friend got dicked over by his housemates constantly. He still gave them a notice for when he was moving out.
...and then later used the key they didn't take from him to come back and take some of their games and shit.
Because they would constantly break his shit and/or drop the utility bill on his lap entirely.
He never even played/used/sold the games. It was pure revenge.

Oh well, whooops.
Also they had a months advance on rent at the least.
And it wasn't I that was the passive aggressive one, the guy I actually shared a room with never actually brought his problems of living with me up to me. No I first got to hear about them from the other guy who was actually on the lease with me after my roommate had left. I knew these two guys could be douche bags, but I was counting on two other guys with us being my friends and having my back on shit. Turns out that they're actually pussies and a wall of bricks would make a better set of friends than them.

2: is that a bookshelf below the right closet? Immediate point of contention.
Still don't know what I'm doing for living places after this school year, bluh.
movin' out
No, the bookshelf on the right side of the room, parallel with the north and south walls, just below the south wall of the right-side closet.
If that's a bookshelf then it is gonna cause Roommate Tension.
