I wonder if Mike and Bryan would give their blessings to genuinely sinking a canon pairing.
That said, the geopolitical implications of Suki cozying up to Zuko are... interesting.
(Promise Part 2 spoilers)
Oh I'm quite certain that that's completely
a "worried as a friend" type thing and it's just a red herring to throw the shippers into a fury for ~4 months before everything returns to status quo after part 3.
I really dug Ozai though, dude was even better than I was expecting. Also liked the reveal of Zuko having sent spies into the Earth Kingdom, very nice and indicative of exactly the kind of influence Ozai would have on him.

the worst thing about Kuei being a moron is that Ozai was right
where the hell is Iroh to talk some sense into these kids

Actually the whole thing kind of reminds me of the part in V for Vendetta when the detective guy is talking about how he thinks things are going to go down.
With so much chaos, Kuei will do something stupid. And when he does, things will turn nasty. And then Zuko will be forced to do the only thing he can do. At which point, all the Avatar needs to do is keep his word. And then...

Iroh's still in Ba Sing Se. Makes me wonder if he'll rethink moving there after this.
I don't wanna kill anybody. I don't like bullies. I don't care where they're from.
gotta keep that dying business model on a lifeline I guess
The comic book industry isn't dying anytime soon. Even if the books nowadays sell pitifully compared to 20 years ago there's enough money going around in other places to keep it afloat.
"In five years we've doubled our business,” said Jay Long, owner of Heroes and Dreams, a comic book shop just outside Jackson, MS. “We've grown consistently by 15-20 percent every year, sometimes a little more than that."
Comic book sales topped out at more than $660 million last year by some estimates. But what makes comics so unique is how they’ve survived and even thrived during a digital revolution that’s seen the downfall of other paper-based media.
Im going to say that there is something tangible about holding a comic in your hands compared to using a kindle or a nook.
Also, comic shops usually allow gamers to set up in shop to play magic or wargames or pnp games and since your surrounded by the medium you tend to purchase it.
I may be old school, but I *like* collecting books. I like to have a personal library that I could potentially show my kids or grandkids and watch them go apeshit over shadowrun or rogue trader.
Now, what I'd *like* kindle or nook to do would be to let me put my books on their devices for free. All of them. If I own a physical copy I should get the pdf version no fuss (course I could just make my own...). but in this digital age that aint a thing.
Actually they just need fedoras. Mako woul look super snazzy with a Fedora, but Korra and Bolin would look pretty awesome too.

It does not appear to be in the Dark Horse online catalog. Which is irritating.
I got goosebumps...

it's a slow, subtle process
but they are done for
Kinda wish the last frame was that fanart of them wearing the gangster suits and hats, but otherwise completely awesome.

Well if you don't know it's based on an opening for another show then you won't get it.
Ah, what show?
The Boondocks.
The direct market is done for, comics will still go on without that.
That's fantastic!
