If Scotland goes for full independence then they will get their own entry!
edit: Oh lord, I forgot Moldova's last year one.

After a brief look at the wikipedia entry, and then a look at the videos in the OP again, I am...what's the word...impressed? amazed? concerned? perhaps concerned...that some of these were actually selected by their countries to participate.
Wow. I think I may follow this for the sheer wtf value.
Is this all a huge joke? Like a gigantic in-joke between all the European nations to put this on? Because it seems like over-the-topness is a 120% requirement for this.
Whatever do you mean? Flying The Flag is the very heigh of English achievement! :rotate:
Damn yooou!
@Syphyre when it first came out people used to take it seriously, but these days not all the countries do hence the daft entries. Some are still serious and it is considered a good thing to win, but some countries think its lame and uncool. So its a mixed bag really, but most people watching do not take it seriously though. The UK and Ireland do not take it seriously, but Norway seems to, for example!

Oh Jesus, someone alert the united nations.

Why!
It'd just be Runrig every time or Michelle McManus if there's a required level of awful.
Rather that Moldova entry than Jedward.
What the hell IS this stuff? Apparently where a handful of meme's come from?
I think I hate myself but I guess I need to go wikipedia Eurovision to figure out what this insanity is.
So we meet again, eurovision.

JEDWARD IS BACK
he used to be the only good bit about the show
subtly mocking everything, except as the night went on he would be more and more blatant about it
Indie, which country are you from again...?
mine was actually of joy.
I'm excited!
never shall you know ! !
Boooo. Is it Moldova? I can see why you'd be embarrassed.

Unlike the Norwegian song which is terrible.
Just realised which one San Marino was, how could you forget it?? It is the kind that sticks in the mind!
WHAT THE FUCK!!!
What have you done?! The unforgivable mistake is letting someone listen to that song.
It's like Rebecca Black + Auto-tune + English as second language grammar + Misunderstanding the entire internet
Now that I think about it, it's truly amazing.

Good god.
England especially have a tradition of terrible, terrible songs.

I'm from the US, but I almost always track Eurovision on the net, wherever I can find it.
Was first exposed to it, when Nightwish was a finalist in the Finland national voting way back in 2000.

I see - well its nice to know people outside of Europe are amused by it too

I honestly forget, sometimes, just how dire our entries have been
Yeesh.
