Yess. Literal laughing out loud here. Except for me it's all, oh my wife may need this on her DH, better hang on to it. Hmm also this. My monk'll want that. Ooh, that'd be great for a lowbie witch doctor.
Yeah, tomatoes are good, but have you seen what this shit does to your apples?!?
Jokes aside, funny comic.

I now have a fear of playing Diablo 3 with people online - storing items that I suspect other people will be able to use in my own vault. Like I did in Diablo 2.
Loved the comic, but I have to admit I guffawed so suddenly I almost swallowed down the wrong tube - the one intended for an appropriate mix of nitrogen and oxygen - at his descriptor, "smooth? Are you fucking kidding me? The launch ripped away the social aspect for me as it was so atrociously optimized I had to let my friends go ahead without me while I and hundreds of others tried all manner of fuckery to get the thing to run without stuttering like maxed out Crysis circa 2007. This meaning they're all ahead of me and I have no one to play with due to their atrocious failure on an issue they knew of circa October 2011, the only band aid present was the old ME2 "set affinity" fix mixed with some disabling of visual themes on the side and they still refuse to respond to it officially.
Diablo has been as smooth as Roseanne's chafing celluloid hamthighs in a Virginian summer.
To take this in a less disturbing direction: That push fight video was certainly a thing. I don't know when it was made but I'd imagine it's description would depend on it's temporality. If it was made in 1988 it would be called amateur, if it was made in 2008 it would be called genius.

That was made all the more disturbing as H.R. Giger leered at me from your avatar. Gave it a Silence of the Lambs feel.

My friends finding something I could use is devalued by the ever present auction house
I think it might be that people are confused and its all chaotic. I must have screwed over like 20 people gearing up my characters in choice shit for less than 5k because no one knows what anything is worth
Yeah, I have no idea what the stuff I auction is worth, I've been doing a buyout of roughly 10x the stat it increases for items <30 shifting it depending on what slot and other bonuses it has. This is based on Munkus saying in the SE++ thread that he's been getting like, 5 pieces of gear upgrades for around 10K on the auction house. Has worked out to about that so far.
But now that I think about it, maybe he was just saying that to get me to list items super cheap.

From what I was seeing, even low level items with magic find, or any stats at all, were going for over 4000 gold just for bid prices. So, my experience is different, but I'd still say people don't know what something is worth (specifically they think it's worth more than it is).
Also, the cost of crafting materials is so low on the auction house that it's pointless to salvage the gear when you can sell it and buy the materials for less than you made by selling all those items.
Funnily enough, I have founds rares to be cheaper than blues on the AH for the same or better stats because they are more complex. People look at stats on rares and go "Whosawhatsit?".. don't know what to sell it for and then undervalue the item .. it seems no matter the level they sell for anywhere from 500-3000g usually.
I just bought 6 rares for under 5000 gold total, all with magic find on them. I've basically made a ritual around hitting the AH before I start playing to pick up any stuff I won overnight and right after I finish to refresh my gear to my current level.
It's kind of weird Kara(I think is her name?) is so passive here. I would think she'd be the one in charge of loot.

Dastardly. I'm on to your little game.
Uh, I said no such thing.

The more things change...
This makes the comic 10x funnier than it already was.
Agreed, I also laughed pretty hard when I read that older comic when it came out.

Got tired of managing space, and just started feeding stuff to the shredder.
I hope new DH players never learn of the bows that got fed into that thing.
