I was googling to remember the name of the town in Pennsylvania with a coal mine fire under it (Centralia) and I found out that someone I knew in elementary and high school is now a big editor at the Huffington Post. Just weird seeing her name pop up in my search results and find out that she's e-famous.

Seriously I don't know how it's legal to allow such working conditions for such a luxury good.
Because money, informed consent and we haven't found a better way. Being a TV show is squiggy.
Imitation crab dude. This shit should be illegal it certainly requires its workers to take illegal substances to perform their duties.
My neck, my back, my FUPA and my crack.

I need a new laptop. For my old one died, and then I fucked it up such that it likely won't rise again.
I remember hearing, years ago, that AMD and Intel processors can't be compared because AMD is more efficient per clock cycle. Is that still the case, or has pipelining and stuff made it so that they're pretty much the same?

This is funnier if you're talking about AIDs and not crab catchers.

See, the "videophone" has actually been around for the better part of a century. It just took the ubiquity of broadband-enabled video cameras in the form of webcams and cell phones to make it popular.
I mean, shit was amazing in 1940, but who are you going to call since nobody has reason to buy a goddamn video phone just 'cause

No it is not.
Intel Core 2 architecture pretty soundly trounced AMD, and the trend has continued. Get an i5/i7 based machine.

So I watched Drive last night. Talk about a serious 80's aesthetic. Even the glasses in the dinner scenes screamed 80's.
