High school football coaches who show this to their players before games are guaranteed to win 55-0. Should opposing coaches show the DVD to each of their teams before the matchup, a rupture in the space-time continuum will occur and the game will be declared a tie.

So I saw the movie the other day in a local little theater. It probably would of been much better on a bigger screen, but whatever. You guys are right, the movie is the concentrated essence of asskicking!

The Immortals were pretty cool, and their swords looked a lot less like katana to me on the actual movie screen. The elephants and the rhino were okay. Blade-hand guy was decent, as was ogre guy. My personal favourite was the sun-blotting arrow volleys and the line "Then we will fight in the shade" It's just so damn cool it's as if this moviescreen was injected with extract of badass!

I have two dates this weekend, I hope I can get one of the girls to see 300 with me as I hate to see movies by myself. Luckily there isn't any chick flicks released this weekend.

I don't know if my paper is sarcastic or retarded.

Underneath one of the pictures in their review, the caption reads: "A wounded King Leonidas roars his defiance at the Persian invaders. His force of 300 was slightly outnumbered."

A group of friends and I were at the theater last night to see an early pre-screening of 'Hot Fuzz' (BEST. COP. MOVIE. EVER) and saw we could also see an early showing of 300!

Of course we jumped at the chance, but had to kill 2 hours in between the two movies. Thusly went out for food while I got right trashed out of my mind (followed by 2 different pubs for more drinking). What it comes down to, I was able to watch the first 10 minutes of 300, and maybe about another 20 minutes of random footage during the film since I was passing in and out of drunk sleep. From what I remember seeing it was damn good ;)

I'll be seeing it again today but on an Imax theater.
I look forward to seeing this movie again....for the first time.

probably want to get tickets ahead of time, especially if you're in a more populated city.
When I went to San Francisco to see Pan's Labyrinth on opening night, it was a 10:40 showing and it was so full we got a refund and went the next morning (which was also packed)

300 is opening much "wider" than Pan's did. Whereas Pan's Labyrinth was on like, 1 screen per city, at best, 300 is showing on at least 3 screens in the good theater in town, and 2 or 3 screens in the shitty theater in town, and my town is far from being very large.

That said, I still got mine in advance because I like walking past the lines.

Saw it last nite. Loved it!

As far as the "historical innaccuracy" goes, anyone who goes in thinking it is a perfect analysis of the events that occured is either 8 years old or just dumb.

HOWEVER! As any educated individual should know, history is written by the winners. And somone here mentioned that Popular Media is trending to be a main source of information in todays world. FUCK THAT. That's the way it ALWAYS has been. Whoever or whatever has the mainstream audience by the balls of entertainment at that time is going to tell it from their perspective.

History as we know it is pop culture, nothing more. I don't care what medium you travel thru for info, its going to have Bias -- sorry, but welcome to the real world. Get over it.
