    yeah i'm not cold-hearted enough to believe that 9/11 wasn't a tragedy

but it also acted as a wake up call is all i'm saying

a wake up call from... unprecedented prosperity?

    no fuck you

yo the 90's were only prosperous for some

income inequality didn't just start going up as soon as W took office, it's been going steadily up ever since the "crisis of democracy" of the 70's

I had the first pair of Reebok Pumps. Pretty sure I made my Mom pay like $130 for them.

It is a well know fact that the 00s were superior to the 90s culturally.

That is a fact, you cannot deny that.

okay, i admit that i was being a huge idiot in saying that america "deserved" 9/11. forgive me for that.

i guess the point i was trying to put across was that 9/11 was a pivotal point in america's history that completely changed the nation's mood, outlook, and consciousness, and for the better, in my opinion.

9/11 was definitely a wake up call for some people to the fact that American isn't untouchable and America's actions do ultimately have consequences.

    It certainly was for me.

I want to do with you

while the 90s had plenty of incredible albums, i think the 00s had tons of great albums that people don't really treat as the classics they are.

also 97-99 were pretty dry times for good new releases, not saying there weren't any good albums, they were just few and far between.

he's saying a greater numerical value of good albums happened in the 00s

which means, for once, i can agree with dbrock
