okay, i admit that i was being a huge idiot in saying that america "deserved" 9/11. forgive me for that.
i guess the point i was trying to put across was that 9/11 was a pivotal point in america's history that completely changed the nation's mood, outlook, and consciousness, and for the better, in my opinion.

yo the 90's were only prosperous for some
income inequality didn't just start going up as soon as W took office, it's been going steadily up ever since the "crisis of democracy" of the 70's
We are forgetting that the 90's brought us the greatest cartoon of all time

Even if you hate Batman this shit is awesome

I had the first pair of Reebok Pumps. Pretty sure I made my Mom pay like $130 for them.
That is a fact, you cannot deny that.

yes looking at the billboard no 1 singles and albums from the 90s I can tell that people had sooooo much better taste.
economically speaking, that's pretty likely
I can't wait to be a Flapper.
It certainly was for me.
What spring does with the cherry trees.
all the follow ups were fucking terrible
I think "taste" is the word you should be concentrating on, not "better".
have you looked at them now?
you should just keep all your opinions to yourself
that's probably best
well also more good albums dropped in the 00s than in the 90s.
you are actively trying to make me hate you
oh, that was actually your opinion?
how precious
that's okay, cupcake, I'm sure you'll be fine
we don't live in the 00s anymore, try looking at the hits from 2003/2004, best two years in pop music since the sixties in my opinion.
bonus Captain K cover:
nnnnevermind looks like zshare.net no longer exists. boooo.
that's all i know about grunge actually. nirvana, pearl jam, and sound garden. loved the first, detested the last two.
no
i don't give a shit about what topped the charts, i'm talking in general
there are very few albums from the 90s I enjoy
What spring does with the cherry trees.
fight club, pulp fiction, godfather part 3, full metal jacket, goodfellas, kramer versus kramer, cinema paradiso ...
"more good" is just another way of saying "better"
Like, I wanted sushi yesterday, but today I want pizza. More good food today than yesterday?
but 90s hip hop was fucking RAD

while the 90s had plenty of incredible albums, i think the 00s had tons of great albums that people don't really treat as the classics they are.
also 97-99 were pretty dry times for good new releases, not saying there weren't any good albums, they were just few and far between.
he's saying a greater numerical value of good albums happened in the 00s
which means, for once, i can agree with dbrock
