MTV's Teen Wolf isn't the worst thing on television

Seriously wondering what the hell is going on
"This thing is a Kanima because it can't stand its own reflection"
"The Kanima is a South American were-jaguar"
Welp, looks like this thing isn't a Kanima, then, is it? You don't classify things as the same species because they have a few similar characteristics. If the only animal I know that can keep its young in a pouch is a Kangaroo, and you show me a Koala, I'm not going to call it a Kangaroo or attempt to deal with it like one.
South American were-jaguar is just what you can find on the internet with regards to the kanima
They never say that that is what they are in the show, in fact, Derek states that it is, well, a weird sort of snake creature
It looks to be just a case of them appropriating a name for some reason or another
Maybe they will get more into that aspect, maybe they'll just leave it at Stiles' throwaway comment from the most recent episode
Though honestly, I don't know if it's better or worse than Buffy's "Oh, this old book says those are Mok'tagar demons" where Mok'tagar demons are bound by whatever rules the writer thinks up that episode.
It doesn't affect my enjoyment of the show, it's just that's not how taxonomy works, fellas.
Edit: I immediately googled it, too. Before I nailed the spelling I was definitely thinking it was a http://castlevania.wikia.com/wiki/Kyoma_Demon
I'll give it a couple more I guess.
I don't care

We got some twins on this forum
Get your asses on TV
@DrIanMalcolm @Bugboy @Butler for Life #1 @QuestionMarkMan
not exactly athletic though
maybe they can rewrite the character to like bugs and be a super nerd
If I had a slightly buffer twin
I would obviously be the devious one
just
not with convincing muscle tone

Better
Like, it's definitely got it's awful highschool dramedy moments
And the creators are aware of how much the audience is into shirtless dudes
But it also boasts some remarkable well developed characters, some decent acting, and a surprising storyline
The first season is pretty good, for what it is
And the second season is legitimately great
I shall... investigate.
