Question. What is Neil Peart doing in the movie? lol. He's a drummer...an awesome drummer. It just seems completly from left field. Now i want to watch it to find out his involvment.
Being part of one of the best blocks on TV these days, I'm wondering how well this movie will actually do in theaters. It's said that it's releasing in just about as many theaters as Borat did, but I doubt it will get to the proportions of that movie.
The thing is, I don't know if any other single block of television on one station has ever been able to revive 2 shows from cancellation, like Adult Swim has. That simple fact, and the fact that ATHF has gotten screwed up into gigantic proportions I thought it never could have, makes me want to see it.
From dogs raping people to having brooms shoved up someone's ass til it pokes at their skull, I can only wonder where this movie goes.
I am glad to give these guys money. They revived 2 of my favorite shows.
Just got back, and very good movie. If it was at all possible, they cleared up some stuff. Better than I expected, and worth the $9 admission. That's really all that matters.
the movie has moments of absolute brilliance (the opening for example) but a lot of big chunks of not so funny time. Its a lot like the show in that regard. The difference is, with the show, you can wait 10 minutes of absolute insane, unexplained ridiculousness for it to all come together in hilarity. In a movie its a much longer wait, and thus the conclusion seems a bit less impactful. Still, its worth seeing easily if your a fan. I liked it, I just was let down after they brought up my expectations so high with the best opening ever.

What was before the movie was awesome, after that everything sucked...which means the movie was just a giant pile of shit.
I thought this movie was hilarious. Anyone who went to this expecting a masterpiece of film is a fucking tool, and should die. If you didnt know this was just going to be an hour+ long episode of ATHF you're an idiot.
P.S. Even if you didnt like it. Your money is now their money, you lose.

At least two theaters in South Florida have it, and probably more.
The movie isn't for me, since I've never seen the show, but the poster is genuinely amazing. Even random passerbys kept looking at it like 'what on earth is that'.

Saw it the theater in King of Prussia, PA on Friday night. The opening was great. I feel the funny started to taper off though which I was afraid of before seeing it. I wanted to see how a 10 minute show is stretched to 90 and now I know that only works marginally well. Overall I liked it though. It was just a little too long.
On a side note...the audience was fucked up. Everybody had smoked or eaten something before going in which seemed to help the general mood in the place. The guys behind us were on mushrooms, there were stoned people everywhere (myself and friend included). Actually that may have something to do with my feelings towards the movie. The funny seemed to drop at the same rate as everybody's high which was a pity. Well except for the people on mushrooms. Everything is funny to them for a good 3 or 4 hours.

It's actually playing at two theaters in my town (Columbia, SC) which surprised me. I'm thinking of going tonight.
I'm definitely going to go tonight. I want AS to get money to start making more Birdman episodes.
Noo! That show had one of the best theme songs!
Harvey Birdman, attorney at lawww...
Heck, they have a whole episode about Foreigner (with some Loverboy thrown in).

Not a single theater in my state has the balls for it.
Really? I live in South fucking Carolina and it was at two theaters within a half hour of my house.

Anyway...a reviewers take on it...

Which is pretty similar to the other reviews out there in saying "You might like it more if you are a little fucked up from some chemical".
On the black screen
As for the story, the only thing I can say is "Hey, they actually explained old props rather than making up new stuff."
