SKFM, I really hate to #firstworldproblems you, but a lot of us work late hours without the perks of seamless accounts, car service, or awesome paychecks.
Count your blessings, dawg.

I am also willing to run systems that I have played before but not ran before.
Legend of the Five Rings is rather appropriate, seeing how it is set in a fantastic feudal japan (has ninjas and magic and oni and stuffs).
Or mouseguard in which you play adorable mice.
I am generally in favour of systems where you don't have a sheet with a million numbers on it, I guess, which is why most "big" games like DH and D&D don't sit well with me. Hence why I am generally pro-indie, and my favourite system is Apocalypse World.
Though I have been reading that Evangelion hack of DH with a curious joy.
Also - I am well aware of Mouseguard, and I love it.
Let me ask you something. Do you think there is a crossroads between accessibility and quality?
AKA: sometimes you post stuff that is "over my head". Do you completely dismiss things like dubstep as bad, but understand their accessibility? Or is it just bad across the board for you.
I often think about this with music.

There's some good dubstep. I like a lot of the earlier Joy Orbison songs, for instance, and the early James Blake stuff. And what those two and others are doing in the post-dubstep UK Bass genre, while note my style, is really really great stuff. Dubstep, often, is just really boring softsynth patches over a really plodding, boring beat.
There is PLENTY of accessible music that is still quality. Lots of Italo Disco, for instance, is very accessible and still quality.
Oneohtrix Point Never is one of my fave artists at the moment, and while definitely "artsy," most people I show it to are VERY receptive to it. Like, I've posted Replica in [chat] several times and someone always comments how they like it.

the worst is when they are pickled and served kind of wet and floppy with Thanksgiving dinner and I mistake them for jellied cranberries

They're super easy. Just cut off the ends, wrap them in foil with a little olive oil, and cook on like 400 for an hour.
Skin comes right off.

Would prefer just the fanfare, but I'll deal with that later.
