[PATV] Friday, January 13, 2012 - Penny Arcade: The Series Season 3, Ep. 9: The Conflux (4th Panel)
Tastefully straddling the line between documentary and guilty-pleasure voyeurism, Penny Arcade: The Series collects the bizarre continuum of one of the world's strangest companies. In this episode, our heroes create the strip "The Conflux, Part One."
Have you ever considered individual stories? DnD is calibrated to a group...it gets WAY hard when you are forced to go it solo.
Also, character death matches are fun...making one companion look like an enemy. High-levels are SO much fun for players; don't give up on them!
This raises an interesting question about immovable rods. What frame of reference are they stationary with respect to? If the rod can be set to be stationary in space and have a planetoid grind into it, how does it stay stationary with respect to a regular dungeon, and not whip off into space at 1000 mph as soon as you set it and the earth (or Oerth, or what have you) rotates away from it? Maybe it should have started moving in sync with the planetoid once passing some threshold of distance into its gravity well....
This is one of the issues that I make sure that does not happen for any DM/GM in my game (not going to mention the name of the game out of respect to this site)
