i didn't know about the mirage comics until the nintendo game came out and they were all wearing red on the front. I was like, "wtf, how could that slip by."

for a bit my mom dated this guy who collected the figures, he had like all of them, all mint in box and it killed me that i couldnt play with the ones that i didnt have at home.
Popular wrestler Kevin Nash played Super Shredder in TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze.
I remember re-watching the movie when I was in middle school and seeing that in the credits and of course as a 12 year old I was watching wrestling and I was all like whoa.
i wish they would have used slash in that movie. Slash was awesome. Remember in the archie comics how he used to carry around that little palm tree from his old turtle bowl? Haha.
I was pretty blown away when the new series did stuff with the Triceratons and the Federation and Fugitoid and all those storylines from the original comic that never made it into the cartoon.
I agree with the Geek, it was a good blend.
It did a pretty good job on my 4 categories of cartoons. Art, Animation, Writing, and Voice Acting.
I liked the Battle Nexus arc they did with Usagi.
Hey The Geek do you like Avatar: The Last Airbender?
I've only caught it a couple times, but I've liked what I've seen. I've got the DVD sets on my Netflix list since it seems like one of those shows you gotta watch in order to really enjoy it.

It was primarily a toy line but there was also a short lived cartoon.
Also, they were totally marketed as Transformers in Japan, with Autobot and Decepticon rubsigns instead of the fire/wood/water thing. Rebellion on Planet Beast

I was a tender little guy.
I thought the exact same thing. Then I saw pictures of the early concepts for the turtles (my art teacher told me the creators made them up in art class. I was a bit of an aspiring cartoonist at the time). I realized that originally they all wore red. It somehow looks so much more awesome.
For your consideration those of you who didn't own this. My (awesome) uncle bought me an NES, TMNT, Ghostbusters, Mario (with Track & Field and Duck Hunt) and he let me borrow his games (Duck Tales, Mike Tyson's Punch Out! and others). Man he was and is a cool dude.

Edit: I turned 22 in January, and i'm pretty much in the same turtle boat as you guys.

He was one of my favorites.
he had 3 other frog buddies in the show (not sure if they made the toys or not)
Me too.
Part of me wants to say I had that one, but I don't think I really did. I know I had the regular Tokka figure though.

my old best friend/ next door neighbor did.
when his dad hit the figure with a lawnmower, i secretly stole the head.
But your girlfriend does have that tongue thing
These things are completely relatable.
It was covered with my old ninja turtle action figures, and also some spider man toys.
My dad is awesome.
tongue thing?
you lost me?
I'm really tired. I should probably stop all thought.
Yeah I'm pretty sure I was confused.
Edit: Actually, I suppose I should stop listening to Bowie and call it a night.
there is this but that would be a stretch for "tongue thing."
that is awesome.
Can't remember who.
and I'm out for the night.
Snap you must be a former lurker?
Edit: She is a pretty lass to be fraternizing with the likes of me.
I think I really started posting during the grouphug threads.
I'm surprised no one's reacted to that video yet. I guess I just burned everyone's eyes out with those Venus pictures...

Rebellion on Planet Beast
I seem to remember the advert back in the day showing a tree crashing into a river and blocking it up while they shouted "WOOD BEATS WATER!"
I do.
Must... save... rent.
Holy Shit, both to the Power Rangers/Ninja Turtles crossover and the Battle Beasts as part of Transformers info. That is all.
YES!!
Fuck, that was an awesome toy.

and the first thing I'm doing is producing a hard "R" ninja turtles movie based on the original comics
mousers ripping flesh, blood dripping from Raph's sais, that hard grimace they all did
casey jones as a fucking monster bad-ass
