I've played FF4-8, 12, and tactics, only beat 6, it is the best one.
Chrono Trigger came out when I was 4 and I didn't play it til the early 2000s on an emulator.
Maybe 7 is my fav because it was the first one I played (and maybe only one I beat) when I was like 11 or 12, and damn you cats is young as shiznizzle!
i liked final fantasy 10, a lot more then 7 anyway, which at the time was my main point of comparison.
now, final fantasy 5, there is a video game.
How can you like any FF better than 7, 7 is the end all be all of all the FFs.
cause i thought final fantasy 7 was kinda dumb, bad, and written by a 14 year old who reads long books, but still felt like needed to be dark and edgy.
I'm sure if the game was properly translated i probably wouldn't dislike it near as much, but even then the game outside of the writing is just okay.

My favourite Final Fantasy is The World Ends With You.

I rented IV as a kid and played for like a half hour. Coming from Mario RPG, I could not get very enthused about it
then I watched my friend play VII because I didn't have a playstation
then I played VI until you get a guy who is a monk or something? I liked it, but never went back to it
then I played X all the way through and absolutely loved it
then my coworker at Winn-Dixie explained the entire plot of VIII to me in great detail
then I played XII and liked it a lot more than I guess everyone else I knew
then I bought XIII last year and played until you get to the part where you can actually walk in more than one direction and lost interest
Also I want to try all of the "great" Final Fantasy games, like 7 and 12. The ones people always go on about.
I think for me a big part of why I've never played them is that JRPGs as a rule just put me off. Kingdom Hearts was pretty bad about it, but at least had, you know, Jack Sparrow and Stitch and Aladdin to make up for it.

Still, the only FF I have played have been in the Tactics series, which goes FFTA > FFT > FFTA2
I'd probably like FFT more if I could find it so I could play it again and work out a way to beat that dick ass wiegraf
And honestly I have the fondest memories of 11. All being a Galka, trying to communicate with Japanese players.
Follow me on Twitter??
I thought everyone knew 7 was de bes
tactics advance is probably one of my top five games of all time

Yeah, sheer time spent plus the enjoyment I've gotten out of maximizing team comp and abilities and junk it's probably way up there for me too.
I don't think I could ever actually make a list of my favorite games though, the only constants would be Mega Man X and TF2

Add ten years to the second number.
It's still great, but not one of the greatest JRPGs or RPGs in history as it's been hyped to be since release.

What is the end all be all of RPGs, in your opinion?
it'll be on twitch tv not on the site
COD multiplayer.
I'm a level 47 racist shootman.
The closest I've come to that is playing through Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2.
