Ok so I'm pretty new to comics. I've known about the basics (spiderman, superman, batman, x-men, Fantastic 4) for a while but I never really read the comics. So I was at B&B the other day and saw a Ultimate X-men Vol 1 and picked it up. It was pretty good and I liked the story, however I'm confused because now I wanted to order a few others but it seems the book I got had the first 6 stories in it and then another maybe "mini-series" called return to Weapon X it seems it was a collection of 1-12 not just the 1-6, 7-12 and so on books I find on Amazon.
Can someone please clarify to me what exactly it was that I got?
So, it had issues 1-6 in it, and then "Return to weapon X"? Do me a favor: Grab the book. Somewhere on it, maybe inside the cover or on the back, it should say, "Contains/collects" and then the comics. Tell us what it says there. That might help.
EDIT: Hadn't realized there were also hardcovers of UXM. That might be it...
I think you have the "Ultimate Collection" version, which contains the first two major arcs of the story. I don't think they have volume 2 of this collection out yet, but if you want to continue the story, get the book that starts with issue 13, which I think is probably "Ultimate X-Men Volume 3."
Zeromus I think your right, my book isn't a Hardcover, unless hardcover is different for comics. It just seems to be issues 1-12 in a nice package. I know for sure that it doesn't have the same cover that the vol. 1 Hooraydiation linked for me.
Bummer if your right about book 2 not being out. I really don't want to have to buy like 30+ volumes and liked that it seemed to have 12 issues in it.
man, this is so confusing. I just want to try and get caught up but there is just to much out there. This is why I think I never tried to get into it before...
She might have asked Adam a question before he went loco... but so far, not impressed.
I miss the Question.

Is that your book? Does it have a hardcover?
If so, then the next one in the series is this.

Found it, it was the ultimate collection here
Sweet I'll have to take a look at that.

So the hardcovers go 1-12, 13-24, 25-36 and so on?
Basically.
I think there's one huge hardcover that has like the first 36 issues in it, though.

No i didn't, is it a sticky?
No, it's the thread that says ASK WHIPPY in CAPITAL LETTERS
Ah, I had no idea. I'd seen the thread but never clicked on it. Didn't seem like a Q&A thread.
Sorry to disappoint. I guess this thread can die now. Thanks to everyone for being so awesome and helping me out.
We can make it about The Question.
So, on a scale of 9 to 10, how awesome is The Question?
Tumblr Twitter
...
Is how awesome the Question is, to be exact.
That Question was not to be answered
Ah, but the Question was how awesome was he on a scale of 1 to 10? Therefore, my answer does not answer the Question.
You have the wrong Question.
PARKER, YOU'RE FIRED! <-- My comic book podcast! Satan look here!
it's alright though, because come tomorrow, there will be no Question

I miss the Question.
No, that's the Answer.
But what about this?
