I got the varmint rifle and the 9 millimeter.

I found a guy asking to save someone up on a ridge from geckos and didn't have enough ammo to get them all.

    I wasn't spraying, I used VATS!

There were like 6 of them and I had like 12 shots left at the top of the ridge and it was taking three shots to kill them.

    it's an absolute either/or situation
    kill one, or the other

all you really get to choose is how comfortable you make it for the one you kill

I am so frustrated with this game right now, I don't know whether to stop playing for a while, restart my character, or just get back in and ignore all the crap.
Example of crap #1: I come up to the Lucky 38, no one is shooting at me or anything. Victor is dead, outside, which is weird. I go inside. Victor is there shooting at me, INSIDE, as are all the other bots. I come back out, and Victor is shooting at me from OUTSIDE too.

#2: Seriously? I fail the Mr House quest because I kill one robot in Vault 11 that I can NOT avoid killing once I've gone in there? That is SUCH balls.

#3: Getting so sick of having to walk through the Vegas Strip. Why weren't there fast travel options between each portion? Especially if you just want to go to your room.

I have a question about end-game quests. Please help me make sense of this, please? I don't care about spoilers. I just want to understand.
I'm at the point where I have multiple quests at once, some for the Yes Man which I confusingly completed before I found the NCR. So here is where I am with this shit.

Yes Man: I have completed the objectives for "Side Bets" just from wandering around, but I haven't talked to him to tell him who to leave alone/etc.

Mr. House: Haven't done anything for him, still have the first quest where he asks you to get the chip.

NCR: Right now I'm trying to convince the Khans to join the NCR, and I fucking fucked up and did a speech check with the dude in the Khan Longhouse and made them kill him, and now I can't use his journal. I have to go to Caesar's Fort to get his Slave Ledger but in going there I get STUCK and have to decide what to do with House's chip and robot whatevers.

I want to side with the NCR in this playthrough but I feel like I'm afraid to do anything because I don't know whatever the fuck.

You can turn in the Side Bets and get your XP. The NCR and Legion people may pop up when you leave the tops and warn you about not proceeding with that any further.

Go to the Fort and get the ledger. Go into the bunker like Caeser asks and destroy or disable House's army.

Then go to the Ambassador and do his quests if you haven't started them. Since you did side bets they should move along quickly.

Take care of the Khans with the ledger. Get Pap Khan proof of Mongol history or pass a speech check. They won't join the NCR but they will leave for the midwest during the ruckus at the end game.

If you don't want to fool with Yes Man then you can just ignore him without finishing his side bet stuff

I don't think there is anything you can do about that if you are on the console. So it's either go with a different faction, start a new game, or burn the fucker.

I'd also send some complaints to Bethesda and Obsidian if I were you.

Alternatively you can load an earlier (not sure how the console save system is) and let your companions kill the turrets.

Let's hope it actually works out. I was doing Yes Man's quests and decided to roll with house after I finished Side Bets. It worked out for me then so I assume it will work fine with the NCR.

My new guy is doing a bit better, defended goodsprings from the gangers and got a bunch of gear.

    Hopefully the firepower will help.

I didn't do a ton of damage in the battle though.

I think I fired 2 shots in that battle... you don't really have to do anything.

Soo I'm at the point where

    (end game stuff)
Colonel Moore asks you to kill Mr. House. I'm fine with that but should I enter the bunker under the weather station in the Fort and use the Platinum chip to activate the securitrons first?

What I've done so far is get the Boomers the Khans and hopefully next the BoS to agree to help the NCR in the battle against the Legion. But what's the deal with the upgraded securitrons, can I use them on my side too?

No if you go with the NCR.

You can choose to disable or fuck them up some how. I forget the specific option.

    Hmm well,
I upgraded the securitrons, then reported back to Yes Man about the Khans joining the NCR in the battle, and now I have a weird quest called "dont disrespect the bear" or something that says if I keep working for Yes Man the NCR will diss me... but uhhhh I just got the Khans to fight for your asses dude.. so I don't get it..

Gonna go try killing/disable Mr. House next.

    Well that's pretty clear.

Except I only have 1 "Wild card" mission left and it says to kill or disable Mr. House.

And then my current NCR quest? Yeah "kill Mr. House". soooooo... ??
