I like it, but the shopping cart is totally jarring. It doesn't look like the rest of the store, and feels like a giant excel form.

To avoid Irony because of what I said here, and my new thread, I worded the sentance like that on purpose and it was a joke.

Polago: The button designs? Can you clarify? The two nav bars are supposed to be separated by function. One being "Operations type stuff" and the other being "Product." It was originally on the left side in a column, but that, as it turned out, looked shitty. I can understand the confusion, however. :)

To be blunt, the blue "product" buttons just look outright generic, and don't feel like something to do with penny-arcade, or even something that had much thought put into it. Kinda harsh, but true. I'll agree though that a vertical column wouldn't fit too well.

The issue with the bars is that the primary menu (operations) while resting higher up visually, is actually somewhat obscured by the title visuals around them when considering both navigation, and the fact that those buttons on the main page do something completely different. There's a lack of consistancy and precedence where they should be easily familiar.

If you want the secondary menu to be the strong menu, then make it your only menu that pertains to the shopping page, and leave the upper links as they are with the main site.

There are also (in my opinion) too many choices in the first level of your navigation tree (so to speak). A few of those options could be condensed down into a single menu choice, such as FAQ, shipping, policies, and contact us all being in a unanimous "info" page. This changes if you are planning on adding quite a bit to each individual page, but that doesn't seem terribly likely given the nature of the options (other than maybe FAQ).

Sorry if these thoughts seem really jumbled. I'm somewhat out of it and not sure if my hands are typing what my brain is thinking. :D

Mr. Khoo, are you guys going to bring back any of the old stuff that Kiko sold from Gameskins? I am particularly interested in more ballcaps, as my WASD hat was awesome but got blown away in a hurricane shortly after they were discontinued.

And so far the store is looking solid. Here's hoping it sticks around this time!

but I get an image of a street full of people all walking very awkwardly down a city street with expressions of fear on their faces as they glance over their shoulders.

I should add that I have the odd few questions regarding:

-The opening page banner (do you plan on changing it frequently, or using it as an adspace?)
-The PA Store logo (why not use a more defining mark instead of a watered down main logo?)

Though the interface questions are more important by far.

I really really want the beach poster, but to get it shipped out here it'd end up costing like $50 au D:

I have to admit that the lack of prominent logo on most of the posters kind of gets me down. Not many of my friends know what Penny Arcade is, so if I just have the Birds Are Weird poster up there, they'd all be asking me what the hell it meant all the time, instead of just getting the joke.

There's some weirdness with how the shipping rates jump for multiple items being shipped to Canada.

    1 - 9.95
    2 - 17.95
    3 - 21.95
    4 - 27.95
    5 - 35.95
    6 - 35.95
    7 - 50.00

I ran this with Lite Brigade small size t-shirts and I assume it has to do with the size of the box you have to ship it in or weight or something. It's still better than Think Geek but that is like saying that a poke in the eye with a red hot poker is better than a sharp stick because the poker will cauterize.

I'd hit up DHL or UPS or some other carrier, Khoo, so you can have an exclusive conract; if you toss out your sales numbers with ThinkGeek and the shipping revenues that were generated, you might have a decent shot at a lower shipping rate.

UPS would be not so good for Canadians (as weretac0 mentioned earlier). Their rates tend to be rather high plus there are ridiculous brokerage fees at the border (usually as much as or more than the shipping fee itself). USPS or Fedex would be preferable.

Also, will the discontinued stuff from the ThinkGeek firesale be available at PAX or ComicCon, by any chance?
