Ah, Mutton was one of my favorite maps from the old WCII days. Spend 3 or 4 minutes watching your peasants slaughter sheep trying to get enough space for a barracks and a farm so you could build something that could kill sheep much more efficiently before you could hope to get a good ground force.

That one and the Crystalis from Star Craft were a lot of fun in small LAN games. Still remember my buddy telling me that he was going to kill me next time we played a normal map. He was right, because outside of gimmick maps like that I was terrible at the games.

The reaper is actually potent in HotS tvz now.

I think I've finally nailed down a mostly safe PvT opening. Bonus - it doesn't require a probe scout.

It doesn't have a robo to deal with proxy widow mines (the robo doesnt start until around the time the first widowmine will be out) but you have your mothership core, stalker/zealot/sentry out vs the widow mine, and as long as you scout your main base when the stalker pops out at 5:05, you will be fine with some probe pulls to block and surround the widow mine. As long as you can force the mine to burrow out of range of your probe line, you're fine.

We have the very real possibility of an all ZvZ semifinals and a ZvZ finals for GSL. I think that would be the perfect way to cap a year's worth of Zerg dominance in WoL going into the expansion.

This is because IGN was recently sold to Ziff Davis by News Corp.

1up, gamespy, and UGO were shut down. They are looking for a buyer for IPL right now. The press release says that the new IGN will focus exclusively on e-sports coverage, but it isn't clear from the text if they are saying this will be a primary focus or they are just saying that to avoid bad-mouthing IPL in the statement before they sell.

Yea, gamespy evolved from a multiplayer client to a gaming news website. When IGN acquired them, they basically turned into a green re-skin of IGN. Frankly, I don't understand why IGN/News Corp didn't fold 1up and Gamespy into the main site many moons ago. There was never a good reason for the three to exist under the same banner company.

Eh. Overseers are the worst detection, objectively by most metrics. The main advantage is that you get them from overlords, of which you'll have plenty and ideally spread out across the map.

I got airplay set up on my Macbook, so when combined with our AppleTV box I can now watch GSL from the comfort of the lounge room on the TV!

Much more comfortable out here during summer than in my room.
