This is a really pretty comic.

    Apart from the murder.

That road layout is retarded. Whose playthru is that from?

    Great, great comic.

    You beat me to it.

The notion of a tiny little microcosm where Sims can do things other than be mindless drones is tantalizing.
Watching a tiny little disaster movie unfold would be pretty rad.
    Or that serial murder scandal.

Before you embark on a Sim City journey, dig four graves.

The swing set is a disturbing detail on several levels.

I don't know if it's creepier that he's burying a whole bunch of bodies, or that he knows someone from above is watching him do it.

    Either way, fantastic comic.

Buy one of the older ones. It'll cost you a lot less and you'll be getting a much better game.

I can't think of a single thing I dislike about this comic. The title, the art, the gag. It's perfect start-to-finish.

Notice how, in the second panel, the last grave is a bit smaller...

I try to play SimCity, but I always end up getting bored and unleashing Bowser attacks. I guess it's like Rollercoaster Tycoon; sure, building a working theme park is fun. But building a rollercoaster that fires people through the air until they crash into a carousel is probably more fun.

Not only that, but he's also telling the person above him to shush in a possibly threatening manner.

He's pretty sure he can kill that person too.

I spent like 10 minutes looking for the house in the first panel but couldn't find it... is it in there or am I just that blind?

It's there. The one with the white roof near the lower left corner. You can see a dark blur near the street behind it that is the swing set. ;-)

And so you, as the god of this city who is forbidden to directly intervene in human affairs, become determined to end this arrogance.

He endures your hurricanes in the shelters. He crawls out from the buildings turned rubble by your earthquakes. He manages a desperate victory over the undying hoards you've unleashed to stop him.

And then one day you scour the city searching for this devil who will not die.

    And on that day?

You will feel a tap on the back of your shoulder.

If the servers are working, I might actually like this simcity more than the previous ones. The global market, resource sharing, commuting... All of it is a more interesting way of looking at metro regions.

What is this I don't even.

RatherDashing made my day with that post, which was promptly ruined by work, and has just been remade by my reading of the the news post. Planetscape spiritual successor? Yes please.

There is no Planetscape spiritual successor. There isn't even an original Planetscape for there to be a spiritual successor to.

Tycho, buddy, there's been something I've been avoiding for a while now.

Remember eight years ago, when 40 Year old Virgin came out? It was around August.

    August 2005.

Well that was the first time I'd ever heard of speed dating, and it seemed interesting enough so I gave it a shot. It wasn't bad, I met a lot of people.

    Anyway.

    This is awkward

The game looks great but the required network connection is a deal-breaker. However if this comic’s sort of mischief were in said game, it could provide enough thrust to get my money into EA’s coffers.
