Colaborative calendar with automatic e-mailing

I'm looking for something that can do the following:

- Multiple people can add items to the same calendar, preferably from anywhere
- Calendar will automatically e-mail the day's items at a specific time
- Outputted e-mail is in a very simple format, preferably on one page.
- (Optional) This e-mail can be hooked up to an Outlook group to automatically send that way instead, or maybe this is all possible in Outlook alone.

I've tried using Google Calendar for this, which on paper does exactly what I need. But it doesn't. There is a giant thread of people who report that Calendar isn't sending the daily updates. Others say it randomly starts working, then stops, etc. Point is, this needs to be reliable.

Chances are this is possible with Outlook, and I'm just not familiar enough with it to know how. In that case, anywhere you guys can point me?

I use Cozi for group calendar for personal stuff and I know it can do emails, but not sure if it can do automatic daily. Definitely once a week emails.

I came across that one and it looked perfect, except it won't do daily and it won't do automatic.

Well my personal favorite calendar application VueMinder should happily do automatic e-mails (with the paid version), but as far as I can tell it wouldn't do it "daily digest" style. I figured I'd mention anyway it since it's so pleasant to use and it does match HALF of what you're looking for... It's also compatible with Google Calendar, your existing not-quite-working solution.

I think Teamsnap may do what you want, thought it's not strictly speaking a Calendar app.

If you have Outlook, then this feature is called "Group Scheduler". Getting there varies depending upon your version, but basically you add/remove people to the group, and they all have access to the same calendar space (kind of like reserving rooms/conferences in Outlook if you're familiar with that feature).
