Mature Games

Alright, as a parent I figure I should bring up this question before hauling myself and my 13 year old son on a 250 mile trip to Pax, Will games that are rated M or include mature content allow minors to play as long as a parent with ID is present or will they not be able to play at all? I was just wondering. Thanks for answering in advance.

It is up to each booth. I saw a family playing The Last Of Us.

Damn, I wished there was a definite answer. Nothing like waiting 2 hours for him not to be able to play. Thanks, though.

do you ready have a pass? I've had multiple people come up to me today asking where to get them (mostly while in the hotel lobby) and felt bad telling them they were sold out some time ago.

Hell Yeah! I was just wondering if he could play M games. Sorry for the confusion.

At Eurogamer Expo and Rezzed they block off an entire area to people who are under 18. This is because it is illegal for 18 rated games to be played by anyone below that age. While this eliminates the confusion @Irah4 had, it does reinforce the lack of written constitution we have in the UK. But that's another discussion for another thread!

Bit late, but for future reference I saw a few signs around booths that stated 18+ only. I would assume a teen would be able to play anything that doesn't explicitly state an age limit.

Yeah I saw that on the ACIV Booth.
